We're in SC right now (low 30s) but I see that it's 44 in Delray.

4 degrees on the coast of Maine....
A nice breeze helps keep you from getting too warm, though.

0F this morning and a full 72 hours of snow and blustery winds. We had 18” of snow as of yesterday but I think we received another 6” overnight. It’s beautiful to look at. The base of my vines are covered but the wind chill is well below -20F. The hound is not even wanting to go out even with the bright orange coat on.

If you are inside it’s not terrible but thank goodness it’s a holiday because I would not want to be working outdoors. Waste Management is due for waste pickup. I really feel sorry for those guys. Then the snow plows. Dry little sleep and nowhere to put this amount of snow.

Brrr...

Low of 52 here... might have to wear long sleeves until it warms up to 70-something later.
It’s one of those days where you could have some awesome ski runs in the morning and then head to the surf for some 7-10 footers in the afternoon. Sunblock mandatory for both.

Of course I will never attempt that feat, but I’m told this is why our house costs three times as much as the same house in Michigan.

I don't mind, cold and clear, snow, but cold rain sucks and we won't even discuss freezing rain. Regular winter of mid 40s, partly cloudy for the next two months. We got most of the outdoor work done before winter, so time for the wounds to heal and head into spring.

Weather has been warming to mid-60s in daytime lately, so good walking weather. A friend in SC was w/o power for 4 hours yesterday, now restored. They were prepared; have generator.

Reached -3 F last night, and the skies were clear for the huge full moon and anybody who was up at midnight to see the lunar eclipse.

Basement/cellar temps now in the mid 50's....so i actually popped open the vents.

They are expecting extreme cold later this week.

We flew into Elmira after a visit to my sister in Tel Aviv. Nearly 70F when we said goodbye to her. Around -5 when I dug the car out of a foot or two of snow in the Elmira long term parking lot...

Yep, lots of negative temps expected. They are currently predicting multiple days colder than -10 F in the Midwest over the next 2 weeks.

Skies have cleared since RRMR's report this morning. Beautifully blue with temps in the mid 70s. But we are forecast to get rain overnight and a drop in temps...

Alligators burrow into the mud in such conditions. They aren't "dumb animals". They are survivors over 250 million years.

Chas WV maybe.
Our 10 day forecast shows a night or two near freezing, but that's all.
But if your sources are better than mine, I hate you

Currently 23F in da Ville but gonna get a lot colder today as flurries come in. In the higher elevations (3000+) there will be snow and ice. Winter is far from over.

Yep, originally saw a diagram on Weather.com, but now can't find it and it is possible that maybe someone overlayed temps from WV in the wrong place. The nerve......

This next storm is supposed to be far reaching south of here, so it's gonna be a cold one either way. Snow starts tonight then some crazy low temps, easily worse than the '13-'14 polar vortex year.
