Mine kept getting extended by one day at a time. Finally showed up this morning (a Saturday morning of all things) unexpectedly.

Didn’t exactly Pobega them, but I did try both the Spring Mtn & the Rutherford last week, giving a slight edge to the latter.
Hope you enjoy!

They're getting stashed with the 2015 DuBrul Merlot. BTW, did I mention that you're da man? If not, YOU DA MAN!

NV Suenen Champagne Grand Cru C + C Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
NV Suenen Champagne Grand Cru Oiry Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut

Because I suck at CT, my pending number (57) did not drop at all with the arrival of these. I'm pretty sure that these are the last bottles I've purchased but not logged in CT.

But I wouldn't bet on it.

Went to my offsite on Saturday to take delivery of a few recent shipments:

2013 Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs Heintz Vineyard
2013 Ultramarine Blanc de Noirs Heintz Vineyard
2014 Rasa Vineyards Creative Impulse DuBrul Vineyard
2015 CT Barrel Project Merlot DuBrul Vineyard
2015 Proper Wines Syrah
2015 Rasa Vineyards Cabernet Franc QED Axiom of Choice

I had neglected to log the CT Barrel Merlot, but the rest were properly in CT, so I guess I'm improving. Now I think these are REALLY the last bottles I've purchased and not logged.

But I still wouldn't bet on it.

An unexpected delivery at our home yesterday. Dear Husband signed for it; yup, adult sig required.
Addressed to me. Contents:

1 - Benovia Chardonnay La Pommeraie Vineyard, 2014.

No enclosure, label apparently direct from winery. But I recalled that I have a SIL who enjoyed the same wine on Turkey Day. I have photographic evidence. A text revealed that it is a Christmas gift for me. Such a nice surprise, one of those splurges I'd be unlikely to get for us.

Now to decide when to enjoy....

Cheers!

My crystal ball tells me there could be a 1989 versus 1990 Chateau Suduiraut comparison in March or April at a BYOB near you.

Benovia Pinot Noir, Cohn Vineyard, 2014. Via separate shipment, had already received Benovia 2014 Chard La Pommeraie. 1 of each. Wow. Both received as gifts from a certain in-law who knows the vino will be appreciated. Never had Benovia.

Feeling very fortunate today.

Benovia Cheers!

I didn't have time to get my yesterday so I guess I need to grab it this morning.
The "save the date" email said that future allocations will be based on this year's order.

In addition to the No Girls and Betz Heart of the Hill letters to buy more wine I got an email from my FL storage that it is full. Doh! I guess there is no more room to jam in another bottle.

I’ve got some room for a few at home, though there may be a security issue. That’s what friends are for.

An unexpected and, OK, unwanted gift from kinda sorta friends. So I did what I did last year when the same occurred. Quickly estimated the value of their gift and reciprocated.

Question: if this occurs to you during the holidays, what do you do? Would love to stop this trend but can't think of a diplomatic way to do so.

Gift was one of those big box retailer "gourmet" under $30 items that was probably ordered as part of a long list...

Maybe I need to be more charitable. Off soapbox.

Holiday Spirit Cheers!
