ORIGINAL: pault A friend/associate sent me a cpl bottles today, 2006 Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir (USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast 2006 Ravenswood Zinfandel Teldeschi (USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley) Not a lot of notes, but a few bottles, those of you who have had either of these , opinions, too early yet, or are they ready? Thanks I have had the 2006 Ravenswood Zin Teldeschi and found it lacking in depth and structure. However, it didn't impress me as a wine that would benefit from aging either. For me it was not 'big' enough in terms of fruit and lacked any complexity on the palate...somewhat flat actually. Keep in mind, however, that I have not had a Ravenswood I like and the Teldeschi only once. Also, the bottle I received was a gift and have no idea how it was stored, etc., so I may be biased and not giving the wine a fair chance...I hope I am but those are my thoughts for what they are worth. Having said all this, I did think it was an easy everyday drinker for those who may like their style. http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=528340
