2007 Point Rouge - 750ml #7
2007 Le Moulin Rouge - 750ml #4
2007 Le Caprice - 750ml 34
2006 L'Esprit des Pavots - 750ml #15

I have boycotted ordering wine from then till I get my 2005's

Just arrived in WW about 4 hours ago. This time we are renting a house, and I will say "Damn!" wish we had thought of this a long time ago, this place is great. Huge weekend planned, picking up my Cayuse and barrel tasting next years release, dropping in on all my fav's and a few new "rising stars" like Rasa, and then a highlight of the weekend I won't mention any details about, but certain to make a few of you wish you'd been here.

Will post as I can.

I was wondering how it was up there... I have been wanting to visit... Where do you fly into?

Izzy, Anne and I all flew into Portland ... the first 2 hours of the 4 hour drive are beautiful, heading up the gorge.

I have an order in for a case of that as well...hasn't been shipped...that's one of the wines i plan on maintaing an ongoing vertical...started with 2004 and i'm planning on a case per year.

'04 seemed to be the real big year for the clio but i'm still liking the subsequent ones a lot...(this wine is my inspiration for my Coombsville Cab i'm making)

What was your price on the '07 Clio?

Makes me think of a (very) old exchange from the show All in the Family. Edith: "Well Archie, don't be like that. It's the thought that counts." Archie: "They could have thought of something better."

Not necessarily what showed up today, but most of what has arrived in the last two weeks. (Excpet for the Quilceda Red). Set on the floor for labeling, then a search for a storage spot. Great deasl on the Castiglioni and notice the 375ml Smith Haut Lafite '06.

I have had the 2006 Ravenswood Zin Teldeschi and found it lacking in depth and structure.  However, it didn't impress me as a wine that would benefit from aging either.  For me it was not 'big' enough in terms of fruit and lacked any complexity on the palate...somewhat flat actually.  Keep in mind, however, that I have not had a Ravenswood I like and the Teldeschi only once.  Also, the bottle I received was a gift and have no idea how it was stored, etc., so I may be biased and not giving the wine a fair chance...I hope I am but those are my thoughts for what they are worth.  Having said all this, I did think it was an easy everyday drinker for those who may like their style.

In the same vein, a late Christmas / birthday gift from a friend over the weekend - '05 Michael-David Rapture cab, will probably hit it at dinner at the country club on Friday...
