Fridged it and came back on day 3 to find something really beautiful: Creme of violet and blueberry in front of a deep, bass-note heavy, savory and gravelly core the reaches far into the finish on nice acidity. Good intensity, tannins are a tad chunky. Overall impression is very much youthful at 5 years old, with plenty of aging / complexity development potential IMO. |

Forward, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of spices & floral notes, dusty/earthy, herbs, anise, pepper, tobacco & minerals. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, mocha, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing although it may develop further with additional aging. |

Crystal clear ruby color. Very complex palate, super smooth, well balanced. Love the red currant, raspberry, pomegranate, spice, mineral notes. And the long sexy, elegant finish. Bravo. |
