Lots of structure and good tannins but not too strong. Blue and black fruits. Great extraction. Not too ripe. Great CA Cab. |

I would drink sooner than later as theruit and tannins are fading. Still some nice Cab flavors & enough structure to make it enjoyable. |

Served alongside a 14 Malescot St Exupery, 15 Dominio de Aguila Reserva and a Mayback Cab. Clearly the best wine by far. Classic Old World Bordeaux nose of cedar, leather, tobacco, cassis & forest floor. Modern Bordeaux but packed with structure & flavor. Probably the most accessible 05 Left Bank I’ve had so far. This was so opulent and open for business. Thank you Mark for sharing this amazing bottle. It was one of the best LB’s I’ve had in a long time, 1 person found this helpful, do you? Doesn’t have the depth or structure of the LdH Bosconia which is $8 a bottle more. For camping or serving to non wine friends this is excellent. You can never have too many great $20-$22 bottles around for everyday drinking. Nice Rioja acidity that will carry this wine for many years. |

Drank alongside an 05 Haut Bailly, 15 Dominio de Aguila Reserva Ribera del Duero and Mayback Cab. Fruit is still too young for my taste but was far overshadowed by the 05 Haut Bailly. For sure Zbirdeaux with typical nose. Modern Bordeaux but all are now it seems. Need to leave remaining bottles for several years. Great QPR though, 1 person found this helpful, do you? Drank along side an 05 Haut Bailly, 14 Malescot St Exupery and a Maybach something Mark1npt brought for Carol. 05 Haut Bailly was far and away the WOTN. This Dominio was excellent and more approachable than I expected. Not sure I would know it was Tempranillo. Quite Modern but excellent. Can’t compare to any other Ribera del Duero and I’ve had a lot of them. Nice extraction with a bit of sweetness. Very good not great. |

Lots of tobacco, leather & spice. I thought the fruit still a bit young and a bit of tartness but minor. Will get into zone in another 6-12 months. Excellent extraction & mouthfeel. One of the better Italian wines for sure. |

Wife guessed Syrah because it does have an initial hit of sweetness but it does fade to Tempranillo. Medium finish. Medium/full mouth feel. This one might be hard to guess in a blind tasting. Excellent QPR at $35. Cost is higher now with recent vintages. Excellent Toro if you haven’t tried this region. |

Throwing sediment already. First sip I thought it had a lot of Cab Sauvignon. Musty Old World nose. Medium body. Smooth. I feel tannins are low and fruit still a bit tight and tart. I don’t think this is a 20 plus year wine. This is the most unique tasting 15 StE I’ve had so far but quite enjoyable and different. No idea where this goes. I’m inclined to wait another 6 months to a year to try again. I feel the Cab Franc is a bit young with some green notes. Maybe more bottle time helps. Agree QPR at $69 is too high. |

Light color in the Grassl Bordeaux glass reminds me of Pinot Noir. Medium weight, still tannic with sour cherry, tobacco, forest floor and pine needles. Went great with food. Probably not as great by itself. Not as structured or full as Montefico which is the best 15 Produttori Riserva I’ve tried so far. This is a bit more feminine but solid. Will improve with more bottle time as tannins relax more. |
