3/5/2024 - Oberhau Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis is a tale of two wines; on the nose, this initially shows definite vanilla and toasty oak notes with peach and apricot undertones. Led me to anticipate a Rombauer-type style. But on the palate, it is surprisingly crisp and dry with minerality on the finish; more Burgundy-style. Very nice QPR. |

11/5/2023 - BAJRiley Likes this wine: 92 pointsDark ruby core, some subtle bricking at rim. Classic varietal notes of blackcurrant, cedar and violets. Some earthy notes but not as dominant. Medium bodied, fine tannins and elegant. Not as complex as some of the Margaret River cabernets tasted on our recent trip but nevertheless very good. |

8/8/2023 - Geoff7777 wrote: NRPale lemon gold in colour, youthful in appearance. Shy on the nose at first, with smoke, grilled nuts, oak spice, white nectarine and grilled lemons. More spice, stone fruits and bitter lemons on the palate, in balance but not yet integrating, and with gun flint on the crisp finish. Not excessive ABV at 13%. This wine is in the slightly reductive style but is better balanced than most. Need some time to integrate, 2025? 18.25. Day 2 and a half bottle shows more white stone fruits and pear, with the struck match and oak spice absorbed so I suggest a generous decant 18.5+. |

8/13/2022 - Andrew67 Likes this wine: NRMaya lemon on the nose with some funky notes. Good length, with citrus and stone fruit, and a hint of minerality. Well structured - you can see why this has won a few medals. As always will be interesting to see how this evolves. |
