Fine, a bit broad and undistinguished. I'd rather be drinking riesling.

Terrible run of corked wines from this producer. So far 3 of the 4 bottles I've opened from the mid 90's were spoiled.

I guessed 2017 but I was thinking about Mosel or Rhinehessen. Good acidity, flintstone a bit spicy and slightly Tropical fruits. Not that "sweet" as usually for a Mosel Riesling. At least 8-10 years ahead. not perfectly balanced in this stage. No decantation. 91

We visited Martin Müllen's winery in 2013, tasted a wide range of wines there and were highly impressed by the consistently outstanding quality of almost all wines from dry to sweet, from young to old.

So I ordered a number of bottles now to backtest. The result was pretty sobering; the dry wines performed all poorly, only the semi-sweet and sweet wines were found to be enjoyable, and even them nowhere near the experience in the winery.

On this wine: the best days of this wine are long past it. It felt like a rusty, empty shell. Which is surprising given that we tasted several wines at teh winery whch were (much) older than that and in outstanding condition.

Maybe this was just an unlucky bottle - but certainly its contents have been dead for a long time now.

This wine is always a dream. Flowers and sun on the nose. Soft fruity raspberry candy. On the palate there is very elegant power here. The rest of the people around the table don't quite get it. I find their lack of faith disturbing. They think there is too little power here, and they don't see the charm in this infinite elegance. The fruityness marinates my sensory systems.. Bliss!

Very good and drinkable Barolo. Needed about 30 minutes to open up, but really nice and flavorful once it was ready to drink.

Easy drinking Paso Robles wine and great price point (under $16.00 at the Paso Robles Albertsons). With breathing time and a diffuser, can equal bottles twice the cost.
