Fairly intense aromas of white pepper, tarragon, chamomile, white pear and stone fruits. A touch of celery stalks adds a slightly vegetal component, and there is a hint of mineral. The entry has a fresh, vigorous acidity, and again, the focus is on soft, freshly picked herbs with tarragon angelica joining bitter almond, cling peach and yellow apple. A gentle, pithy texture leads to a grippy finish accented by the bitter almonds. Just about enough flesh to coat the wine's more pointed, spindly structure. Reasonably complex, the finish is medium to long. It would have been nicer to have amped up the fruit and slightly toned down the mineral edges. 1 person found this helpful, do you? I know the cheaper Classico well, so thought I'd get a case of this Riserva and see how it stacks up. Drunk over two nights. Pale gold colour in the glass with apple and pears on the nose which follows through onto the palate with a hint of honey and a slightly oily texture. Good depth in the wine even this young with a nice long finish. A very tasty wine but I'm struggling to see a vast improvement from the Classico which is an excellent value wine with very similar characteristics. This perhaps has a little more depth and complexity but is quite a lot more expensive. I have a few so will be interested to see how it develops over time as it fells like a wine that needs some bottle ageing to come alive. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comment

Very good, can drik now but potential for further aging. Very clean, pure & precise. Appear a bit neutral now, but level of acidity & fruit in perfect balance combined with concentration makes me believe that this will improve as more complex mature notes develop. Interestingly a lot more evolved , surprisingly so and maybe the oak use here in the élevage which also adds a bit of noble oxidation is the reason but in any case this was very pretty. On the nose, it is rich, featuring hints of apple, dried fruit, almonds, a delightful touch of Mediterranean aromatic herbs, honey, and white flowers. On the palate, it is warm and dry, displaying great elegance and persistence, with a still predominant freshness. One can only expect great things from this wine in the years to come il colore è giallo paglierino intenso, compatto e consistente ma dalla bella vivacità, al naso è ricco, con sentori di mela, frutta secca, mandorle, una bellissima parte di erbe aromatiche mediterranee, miele e fiori bianchi. In bocca è caldo e secco, di grande eleganze e persistenza, freschezza ancora predominante, non si può che aspettarsi grande cose da questo vino per i prossimi anni. Do you find this review helpful? Cork seal. Bought from The Wine Society £22.00 N…ground almonds, apple purée, ripe lemon peel and grapefruit pith, a bit of quince skin, all of it medium intensity. C….light gold, looks Light body. T… lovely deep earthy flavours and interesting fruit, immediately charming; medium-dry on the scale; at 2 yrs old drinking superbly, I’d say maybe mature at 5 years; a bit of length here, but not huge; aromatic impressions reflected in the mouth, a really pleasant interesting glass of Italian white. More a Foodie style, but a classy Quaffer too; body is light, not medium; wood is there but feels very clean/almost unoaked. I’m liking this light touch on the wood, I have to say. A later tasting, maybe an hour later, reveals too some pear and a slight white tannin. It seems to get better with air and time. I’m going to keep some back for tomorrow. Ripe green apple, quince, ripe lemon, some passion fruit, grapefruit. VFMoney? Feels worth it’s £22.00 price. Will buy again. Bella sorpresa, è invecchiato magnificamente. Bel colore giallo dorato pieno. Naso meraviglioso, suadente, frutti esotici, spezie dolci. Bocca sontuosa, equilibrata tra un attacco dolce e burroso, una bella freschezza ed un'acidità ancora vivace, ed un notevole lunghissimo retrogusto amandorlato. Al naso la prima nota è di arachide tostata, segue il bergamotto; il sorso è sapido e freschissimo, non minerale ma piacevolmente fruttato, di ottima lunghezza.
