Someone (I think Clemens Busch, who knows a lot about the lees) once told me that this vomit-like note is the product of either too much batonnage or not enough. Wish I could remember which! |

2/29/2024 - Henman Likes this wine: 89 pointsRather closed on the nose, showing subtle yellow fruit and mineral. Medium bodied, dry and crisp, quite subtle, showing green apples, a bit citrus, some saline mineral notes with firm acidity. Overall elegant and tight. It doesn’t really differ much from the younger and cheaper basic muscadet wines I had. |

1/7/2024 - hadukla Likes this wine: 90 pointsPaired with a scallop/caviar dish with a lemon, vanilla, buttercream sauce. Great match as this wine was well, quiet. On its own, it was quite enjoyable, very subtle flavours but with complexity and acidity. Surprisingly lighter golden colour. Took some time to open in the glass though even when it did it seemed like it had more to give. My glass sat for almost 1.5 hours while I cooked and it stayed the same throughout. |

Fine, complex, leesy aroma with some ripe lemon and green apple peel; strong entry, with surprisingly unctuous-textured green apple fruit and appetizing, ripe, citric acidity; gently honeyed mid-palate; quite long. My first serious Muscadet. Great value at just over 12 EUR retail. 88-89P |
