White to start. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of pineapple, ripe citrus lemon, freshly baked biscuit, stone dust minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium- alcohol (12.9%), rounded medium+ body. Medium+ flavour with flavours of dusty stony minerality, pineapple, ripe yellow peaches, ripe citrus lemon. Long finish. Good quality. Rare varietal Melon-Queue-Rouge, but is it really Chardonnay? Well this tastes like a ripe one. Perhaps needs more age to develop and show more complexity. Fresh aromas of bright citrus, with added complexity of sea breeze, petrichor and a touch of white tropical fruit and stone fruit. Bone dry with crisp acidity. Medium body and finish. This was a delicious bottle with great texture. This seems ouillé but it does have significant textural resonance. Great with food. It doesn't come to my market, so by the time I find it and ship it, it's a bit on the high side for our regular rotation but something to grab if you see it. White	2016 Domaine de Saint Pierre Arbois Chapon Chardonnay more	Options Post a Comment View amateur62's profile Report Issue 1/26/2024 - amateur62 Likes this wine: 91 points Chardonnay from natural farming, aged on the lees and bottled unfiltered and without sulphite, 12% vol. Restaurant Le Vivant. PnP, needs some minutes to open. On the nose it starts with ripe apples and yeasty notes, gets pears and a suggestion of petrol with more air, on the palate medium acidity, creamy and medium to long finish with a slightly tannic grip, somehow similar to a red wine. Interesting wine, give it a bit air and don't cool to much, best at 14 to 16°C, drink within the next couple of years. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comment

PnP and served at about 14°C, what showed to be perfect. Yeasty notes, white berries and ripe apples, dense and creamy with mouth watering acidity, long, complex and sustainable, 100% Jura (though not oxidative). So smooth and mellow considering the youth. Quite an oxydative taste to the wine but one that remains in the "ouillé" range and that is not over the top. Acidity is quite medium to low for the style. The nose is typical savagnin with some citrus, hint of spruce. Quite young. It's reallly the mouth that stands out. The Jura acidity is very present but somewhat tamed and well integrated into the fruit side, with apples, pears, citrus. Still lots or energy but just in a great phase right now. Awesome wine.
