Now 1 hr after decant. She around of mild barnyard, medicinal bark, damp earth, and tart cherries and cranberries. Palate w unripe red cherries, dinner cranberries, medicinal bark, a touch of brown leaves, earth, and some minerals. Medium body with mild tannins and really juicy acids. Nice finish that blends tart red fruits, medicinal bark, a touch brown leaves and minerals. Faint tannins linger on the palate. Better showing than last time and I think there vigorous shaking in bottle really helped here. There are a lot of savory components here and the fruit is almost an accent, a foundation, you the wine rather being the star. Yeah .. This is good and I like this. I hope the wine integrates with some short to mid term aging. Open next bottle in 2-5 yrs. 90+ |

Light-med body. Can't remember the tannin structure but it wasn't too much. The brett never really got any better through the night. Have several more bottles so will see if the brett is as prominent in the other bottles. - Blend of Hartblau, Süssschwarz, Fränkischer Burgunder, Schwarzurban, and Schwarzblauer Affenthaler. |

Successfully walks the fine line between interesting and too much. Full and round. Grapefruit pith and pear. Citrus finish. It was an aperitif on night one before eating pasta alla Norma prepared by @LukeIntoWine. Tonight it's a cooler for the 84° F temps and doing a fine job. |
