Was best on day 2. Deep ruby and pale purple color. Bramble, cherry on the nose on day 1, but by day 3 mostly yeast and a little blackberry on the nose. Detected what I thought was a lot of VA on day 1, but on day 2 and 3 that was gone and replaced by mostly yeast and some cherry on the palate with 30 sec finish. Not sure what to make of this, which was very different from any other gamay I have tasted. |
