Opened and double-decanted. At this point it tasted aged, a bit rusty but with a healthy dose of tannins. Then transported by car and drunk 3+ hours later out of inadequate glasses. Still much the same character but lacking in charm and sweetness. OK but not glorious - but probably my own fault.
