4/16/2024 - David Meddings wrote: 89 pointsLight garnet. Cherry bouquet with some violet notes. Palate is striking for the tartness. Sour cherry profile and medium body with good acidity driving a medium to long final. Tannins well integrated. Really quite nice for a wine at this level. |

4/11/2024 - jlhkiss wrote: 90 pointsPaired with salmon cake and mixed salad. Dark crimson-purple color with a violet hue. Muted nose brings red lavender, potpourri, and cherry menthol. The palate is medium, round, and jammy, bringing a nice core of dark fruit interlaced with high-toned cherry and raspberry notes, which leads into a tannic finish of cloves and black tea. This has a good frame and thick tannins which bodes well for further aging. However, right now this doesn't taste 'fresh' to me as the jammy fruit is distracting and bogs the palate down. I also detect some heat on the tail from higher alcohol (14.5%). Drink 2026-2034. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 90. |

Distinctly reduced (sulfide) aromas on opening, partially dissipates over 2 hours but not completely. A sharp tannic edge partially obscures the fruit which seems a bit more primary than expected, also uncharacteristic for this wine at this age. Not overtly damaged but wondering if my bottles from this year are off. |

1/30/2024 - La Bodega Baru Likes this wine: 92 pointsLa Digoine is a meticulously crafted single-vineyard Pinot Noir, birthed from the 1.8 hectares of terroir where aged vines, between 35 and 45 years old, sink their roots into a blend of clay and limestone. During harvest, a rigorous selection process ensures that only the best fruit is chosen, with around two-thirds of the grapes traditionally fermented as whole clusters. Post-fermentation, the wine matures in barrels over a period ranging from 10 to 12 months before it finds its way to the bottle. |

7/2/2023 - mimik Likes this wine: 91 pointsDark and brooding wine with lots of plum and dark cherry notes in a little bit of camphor on the pallets. Medium minus acidity with a decently, medium long finish taste sweeter than it actually is but still a very enjoyable drink. Drink up within the next few years. |

5/31/2023 - Golf_Wine Likes this wine: 92 pointsOn open, not too exciting. Opened up slowly over 2 hours. Drank half, vacu pumped. Day 2 after an hour open a very good wine. Could very well been mistaken for a precise burg premier cru. It drinks a lot like my 2013 cote de nuits burgs, Juicy crisp crushed red berries, fennel, just enough weight, blue fruits sweetness, and soooo enjoyable. Light but enough of everything to keep it interesting. I don’t know where this wine would go with time, it’s a not so interesting wine on opening but too me I don’t know how much better this wine could really drink. |

1/6/2023 - SB5784 Likes this wine: 92 pointsTasted via Corivan alongside the Les Clous front the same year. A rich, ruby red color. Glowing and very pure. Some subtle aging on the edges. The nose is very open and flamboyant; perfumed. Lots of fresh red berry fruit, some spiced cherry, and kirsch like notes as well. High toned floral notes and lifted. On the palate, this is medium bodied, with a soft and silky texture but gains some roughness on the midpalate and finish. The fruit is consistent with the nose. Quite balanced but with still quite significant tannins (but they are ripe and integrated even now). My only real criticism would be some dryness on the back of the palate and a slight bitter taste on the otherwise long and enjoyable finish. This is really impressive and enjoyable right now. |

11/15/2022 - Collector1855 wrote: 88 pointsDuring a 2020 Burg walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. The vintage showed very well indeed for both reds and whites. The reds were dense, fresh with good structure like the 2016, the whites pure with good fruit core similar to 2019 and definitely more refined than the plush 2018. TN: Good aromas on the nose, red fruit, spices but a bit thin and dry. |

9/18/2022 - JonBarnes1 Does not like this wine: NRDespite its dark inky color I get a large serving of red berries and even some high-toned floral notes like white peach and jasmine. Personal taste, for me this is more shrill and acidic than I look for in a Burgundy. |

9/2/2022 - chablis28 wrote: 93 pointsBeen 4-1/2yrs since my first of 2 and this has added some intriguing tertiary notes, resolved oak & excellent overall balance. Underbrush, berries & violets on the nose. Pretty red fruit, spice, mineral and more underbrush on an elegant, finessed palate. This is remarkably good now for the $39 I paid for it. Really helps the value that the fruit comes from the less celebrated and chased Cote Chalonnaise. I'm going to seek out more of this vintage if any is around or grab a more recent release. 13.5% alc. Opened 3-1/2 hrs prior to dinner and slow oxed in 2 Riedel Burg glasses & btl w/ cork out. |
