13% alcohol.
Drank from a Coravin-bottle.
Signature freshness, subtle herbaceous hint, saline, hay, oyster shells, yellow flowers and ripe citrus. Round texture, focus and harmonious. Broad profile for the appellation.
Open for business now, but can definitely improve with some cellaring.

Serious, food-friendly rosé. Just as good as a year ago, displaying deep red cherry and strawberry fruit, lemon and earthy marks. Local with plenty of character. Love it.

The sweetness of brooding fruits, savoriness of smoked meats and impact of fresh herbs jostle for attention at the front of the nose and palate. Just enough acidic and tannic structure hold everything together as the layers are all rich and on the verge of overwhelming everything else.

With patience, you can see the rich, sumptuous heights of what Parker tasted, but also the low structural collapse of what Galloni tasted. This is a weird wine. I've had this at different stages of its life, and I still can't determine whether this will age further or not. This is not feel like a stable wine, so I can appreciate how estimates for drinking windows are all over the place.

The expositions are fun experiments that I wish they still did. However, I do personally prefer the completeness of the single Weill a Way syrah that the Bedrock made 2014 onward. Unfortunately, we can't have both.

Dark red color. Takes time time to open up to marks of soft and gentle dark red garden fruit with some sous-bois notes on the finish. Strawberry notes, no hard edges. In a really good spot right now.

Happy to report that this under-heralded village from an under-heralded vintage produced at least one Premier Cru that has withstood at least a 37 year test of time. Incredible amount of life still in it last night, my birthday celebration (birth year wine, so now we're both 37), and felt like it has the stuffing to improve perhaps another 5 and to stay lovely for perhaps another 10 years. Aniseed, clove, chestnut, red cherry, earth, and a field's worth of springtime flowers stuff your nose and carry over to an elegant, beautiful palate that maybe doesn't share quite the potency or complexity of flavor as the nose does but is still wonderful all the same. A worthy celebration wine, a worthy Burgundy investment, and a worthy auction risk all at once. Happy birthday indeed!

Pale golden color. Easy to drink and sip as it didn't need to be paired with food to be enjoyed. A lovely Sauvignon Blanc that is more on the mineral side but still plenty of fruit.

Brought this wine to New Ubin Seafood (Stevens Road) for a lunch with the family and some family friends.

We ordered the har cheong gai, Hong Kong gai lan special, Premium lamb rack special, chicken and pork satay, mud crab (garlic baked and salted egg), Black Angus 'Çhoice' rib-eye, claypot carbonara, and laksa siham.

Gold in colour. Rich ripe peach, apricot, longan, lychee and sweet pineapples on the nose and palate, with lush honey and tangerines.

One of the best dessert wines from Australia. Sip, savour and enjoy!

Decanted for an hour before drinking. Captivating dark purple with notes of rich red fruits, vanilla, milk chocolate, and some tar.

Will continue to evolve and get better over time. Suggest to revisit in 5 to 10 years time.

Light straw green with faint notes unripe pineapples and citrus tropical fruits. Pairs well with food and has the potential to evolve and get better.

Do revisit in 3 to 5 years time.

One hour of decant didn't do this full justice, but you can see the marks of a great wine with enough swirling. The fruit is rich and generous even out of the bottle, with softer tannins than you'd expect from such a young wine.

With more air in glass, the supporting cast of the ripe, acidic strawberry core start to emerge - white pepper, orange peel, rose water, earth and straw. The complexity has yet to fully unfurl on the nose and palate, but the wine presents a clear roadmap for how it wants to develop over the next 20 years.

Brought this to Tunglok Teahouse for a dinner with my ex-colleagues.

We had steamed shrimp dumplings. steamed pork dumplings, stir-fried asparagus and lotus root with cashew buts, black fungus and lily bulb, roast Irish duck, soy sauce chicken, dee-fried squid, crispy pork belly and wok fried beef hor fun with pork lard.

Decanted for an hour before serving. Beautiful, voluptuous notes of rich ripe plums, coupled with raspberries, juicy red fruits, with a sweet finish.

Quite an unforgettable wine, this one is.

Ripe lemon/lime mixed with a hint of tropical fruit sweetness on the nose and palate. Gentle florals emerge from swirling.

While not the most Chablis wine in the final composition, it still carries the crisp acidity and solid minerality you'd expect. Solid with a variety of seafood appetizers.

Drank half the bottle over 2 hours. My note from 2017 still resonates. The nose is bold and toasty. The palate is elegant, light and refreshing. I wish the palate had more body than it does, but that may be a stylistic preference. Overall this drinks like a nice low-priced NV champagne.

Perhaps due to the vintage, this was ready to go after a 2 hour decant. Ripe blue/blackberries with a sturdy tannic structure that softened with the decant. Long, spiced cedar finish.

Positively surprised how drinkable this was.

Beautiful gold in colour, with a nice bouquet fragrance on the nose. On the palate the elements are in harmony, complementing the food we had and bringing the dishes to the next level. Elegant, and adds zing to the dinner.

Good, bordering on the side of being great. Made from Siria, Fonte-cal and Malmsey grapes.

Beautiful wine, characterized by drinkability and freshness, with a light ruby red color and great transparency. On the nose, it releases aromas of red fruits, currants, wild strawberries, and a lovely citrus note of fresh blood orange. There is also a pleasant floral hint of iris and violet. On the palate, it has a medium body and velvety, almost imperceptible tannins. Great freshness and sapidity with a medium-long finish.

I have tasted many Poggio Antico wines, and this was my first disappointment. The 2016 Riserva has an abundance of Tannon, and an abundance of acid. Ageing may improve this wine, but I' not willing to wait. Is it worth $129 a bottle? Not one bit!

A very pleasant blend. Deep, bottom heavy. A good study in all the varietals comprising (Zin, Syrah, PS): you can practically slice them off in layers as they unfold on the tongue. This is a specialty wine, produced by a boutique winery. Makes you wish more vintners were experimental.

Quite a unique wine. Nothing like a cortese from Gavi. Oaked in old barrels. Complex, fresh, but with rondeur. Have to taste more. Gastronomic wine

I agree with the other reviews. This wine is very well made, perhaps even formulaic. There is nothing objectionable here. Even with some bottle-age, the fruit delivered and the tannins remained rounded. This producer has found a good niche — for those of us who enjoy a well-priced everyday Italian red, this is go-to.

Elegant constraint style. Fresh bitter lemon and crunchy apple with subtle oaky creaminess. High acidity. Medium alcohol and body. Still tight, needs time.

This bottle exceeded my expectations and is showing really well. The color is light and lovely with a tinge of orange. On the nose, this reminded me of black walnuts or nocino, spicy and citrusy. On the palate, more spices, black cherry, and fine tannins. Juicy and refreshing. I can’t imagine getting much more pleasure from this. Left a bit for the second day where it revealed florals on the nose.

Similar to my prior two notes. This is a lighter bodied and more feminine expression of Brunello. Pairs better with a simple pasta dish than a hearty one. Still holding back and somewhat muted. Decanted only for 30 minutes.

A lighter styled 12.5% alc for the hot 2020 vintage. I actually wish it was picked a day (or two) later to reduce the high toned nature of the wine. Crunchy tart cherry, currants, blackberry with a nice bit of soiseboise on the noise. Has a fuzzy, earthy feel to the fruit. Benefited from a decant to soften the high toned streak, and came off older than it was (with the soise boise). A pretty good pick up for $65 and I think would benefit from 5 years if bottle age (to soften the high toned juiciness). Think: sour cherry, fuzzy raspberry, earth, chalk.

This would have benefited from a one hour decant. PnP did not allow it to open up. This is a big, inky, blue fruit new world Syrah. If you can look past the fruit concentration, oak, and alcohol, there is a vein of noble Syrah varietal hiding just beneath the surface.

I thought this showed its best form after a couple hours in, also remarkably perfumed and aromatic, had that classy stems and grassy note to it, cooling mint, cloves, black tea, red peach and sweet strawberry fruit that is perfectly ripe. It’s not blowing my mind tonight but it is most complete and wholesome wine of the lot out there, and you can’t be unhappy sipping on it. Complexity on this young wine is rather unreal.

Clear medium reddish purple color with a very delightful nose of fresh red and purple fruits with slight herbaceousness. The palate is medium-bodied, firm structure, very dry, with well-integrated tannins, fairly balanced considering the high alcohol content and definitely well into its drinking widow now at 9 years of age. Flavors of dry slightly savory dominates with varietal typicity along with a fairly herbaceous backbone, well-integrated oak, mild tobacco overtones and watery minerality follows through that the tail end. I love the vibrant bouquet of this South African red which is reminiscent of the Ballentine Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown 2019 I had last year at Napa Valley. Generally a lovely wine except for in my opinion the fading fruit couple with the dryish and somewhat bland profile. I would much prefer a little more fruit structure and vibrancy in this. I'm looking forward to trying the other flagship Cabernet Sauvignon (from Stellenboch) from the same vintage and producer next year.

The mistake I made was to pop n pour this wine. It was tight, restrained both on the nose and finish and it desperately needed food with it. My last glass was the best one and it began to open up in the glass. This needs a few more years to integrate and get comfortable in its own skin. I will hold for two more years before trying another or at least decant it and pair it with food the next time.
