As good as my last one. Two specials feats for me on this wine: 1. It has hints of spruce like on a savagnin and 2. lots of flintstone like on a great burgundy chardonnay. Drinks very well now and will improve in the short future (2-3 years). Awesome wine.

Crisp, very bright, but dark undertone, medium body, light tannin, roast meat, sour plum, mace, chalky finish. Very nice.

A step more round in the mid-palate, with a light, airy, marshmallow-like presence. But I miss the ginger spice and tactile acidity. Still a great bottle, but I wish I had more Suduiraut.

S2: Cherry cream
T: Medium body (some oiliness), red cherry, raspberry, tannic up front, some tartness leading into tannic middle,

It’s getting to the point where improvement is not happening. So drink up. Petrol mineral, gooseberry, chives. Tingly acid, rounded with age, but still incisive. Fruit and herbs there supported by long mineral finish. A decade old Sancerre showing this much freshness and complexity is amazing and ever so pleasing. More classic Sancerre than Boulay but just as high in quality.

2013 is a sleeper white burg vintage. This has great balance, length, complexity. Orchard fruit, almonds. This is in a nice spot, but based on this bottle it may still have room for improvement with age.

Dark fruit including blackberry, cherry and blueberry. Subtle spice of pepper, chocolate and tobacco. Not their best offering from this vineyard, but still tasty.

Gorgeous wine - probably most noticeable is the very long and unctuous finish. Lemon cough drop without the medicinal, rocky minerality, some wood hints (maybe a sandalwood kind of scent). The nose is nice, even moreso on the palate.

This wine, beautiful in the glass, not too challenging, complements food, a steal and a nice Bordeaux at that. Big fruity nose which has been described in detail in other notes, soft palate seemingly resolved (or close to) tannins and a lovely mouthfeel. Just a real nice wine. Nothing stands out above and beyond but who really cares? This bottle is ready to drink. If you’re looking to be moved, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for a totally respectable bottle of wine that can be paired with most anything (cod or salmon or sole, ah no) seared tuna, roasted chicken, sausage and peppers, broccoli rapini, sausage on orecchiette (which is what I’m having), steak, then yes. What I like most about this wine is it just delivers what it is and that is, to me, good. No breathing, deciphering or decanting, PNP.. No science. Quite nice. And for the price, you cannot lose. This brings up my question: You are somewhere in France - Paris, Lille, Bordeaux or Toulouse -in a bistro, brassiere - for this price, would you complain? I think not. And if you are in northern New Mexico as I am right now, I’m not complaining. Looking for the big guns, not this bottle. Because it’s so sure of itself, a real crowd pleaser. Oh and the label is nice. Drink it now..

First English sparkler. This one has lively acidity and freshness. Decently long finish, but not a ton of complexity to the wine. Apple and red berries mostly. Maybe slight orange zest.

Went perfectly with salmon and rhubarb.

Deep garnet with bright garnet rim. Aromatic on opening. Cherry, lavender, blackberry. Savory notes, slight astringency, black cherry with a hint of plum. Very pleasant. Youthful. Medium finish.

By the glass at Nora Gray in Montreal. Orchard fruit, white flowers, and thyme on the nose. Medium body, totally dry. Dense, ripe apple on palate, no noticeable alcohol. Pretty savory, well balanced, medium plus acid. Long finish that brings a honey element into the equation. Quite good!

Lees and yeast lead the nose here, followed by limestone, lemon juice, ripe white peach and fresh tarragon. Smells elegant, with a medium intensity of aromas. The palate is more complex and intense, showing flavors of ripe white nectarines, ripe papaya, lemon juice, cumin and anise. The latter two spices show best toward the finsh. Texturally rounded, with a medium + intensity of flavors. Not as youthful as I thought it would be at this age. Deep and profound.

Medium body with medium acid. I agree on all the comments suggesting "simple seafood" as the pairing. While not traditional, it went absolutely perfectly with a chirashi bowl (that included uni and plenty of seared/smoked fish). Drink now or hold this for 2-3 more years.

Ether, cherry, and peach (?) on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, blackberry, and notes of currant, dark chocolate, and a hint of cigar box, with light tannins and well-balanced acidity. This was excellent, but I was hoping for this to reach another level given the vintage. Even so, it was a good value at about $100. Although it's in its drinking window, it will probably improve.

Very impressed with this wine. Probably my first really good Italian white. The juices have concentrated over time. Honey, melon, and peach on the nose. Citrusy mouthfeel with a hint of bitterness in the backend. The wine still shows a good body!

Ripe melon, ripe white nectarine, lemon juice and sea spray on the nose. Simple and fruit-driven, but with a nice medium + intensity of aromas. You can really smell the sunshine on this. The flavors are consistent with the aromas other than adding some bitterness on the mid-palate, which lasts into the all-too-short finish. Otherwise, I taste mostly the ripe stone fruit and the sea spray. Texturally viscous, with a medium + intensity of flavors.

Medium + body with medium - acid. This is great for what it is! Excellent QPR as others have mentioned.

A: Medium garnet

P: Dry, medium (+) acid, high alcohol, medium (+) ripe tannin, full body, medium (+) intensity and medium finish
Here the chocolate persists for an age but the fruit falls off very quickly. The alcohol is feeling hot to me and I wish for more ripe fruit to balance it. The intensity on the palate is more concentrated than that on the nose fortunately but is definitiely pushing the flavours forward. However, the fruit finish is well below optimal and the fully developed fruit here means this one is not going to really improve on ageing, The wine has well defined flavours and shows some complexity with 5 descriptive clusters. The wine is very good quality.

Made with the best fruit sourced from the Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco estates. First vinified by foot-treading, then followed by additional extraction by robotic plungers. Fortified with 77% aguardente, aged in large oak vats for 1½ to 2 years, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. 20% alcohol, 99 g/l residual sugar and 4,7 g/l acidity.

Very dark, slightly translucent and subtly evolved black cherry color with a faint pomegranate hue. At first the nose feels somewhat vague and understated with a somewhat rubbery note, then slowly opens up to reveal characterful, dark-toned aromas of blackberries and other dark berries, some black cherries, a little bit of elderberry juice, light bilberry tones, a hint of dried figs, a floral touch of violets and a whiff of cacao nibs. The wine feels juicy, sweet and quite ripe on the palate with a full body and intense flavors of juicy blackberries and overripe bilberries, some sweet plummy tones, a little bit of elderberry juice, light floral notes of violets, a hint of licorice and a touch of wizened black cherries. The overall feel is medium-to-moderately high in acidity, but the structure relies more on the quite grippy medium-plus tannins. The finish is ripe, juicy and moderately grippy with a long, sweet aftertaste of blackberry jam and overripe bilberries, some floral notes of violets, a little bit of licorice, light elderberry juice tones, dried-fruit hints of wizened black cherries and dried figs and a touch of cacao nibs.

A firm, intense and still very youthful Vintage Port. The overall feel is quite noticeably ripe and perhaps a bit sweeter, more fruit-driven than I expected from a Taylor's VP. However, the overall feel is still pretty balanced and there is enough tannic backbone to keep things from coming across as too soft. Tasting this next to the 2003 Taylor's VP, this wine was more to my liking - the wine not only packed more structure, but the overall feel was still relatively vibrant and youthful compared to the much more softer and somewhat more pruney 2003. I feel this is still going to be on an upward trajectory for quite some time. While I doubt this is going to be a particularly memorable Taylor's VP in the long run, I can still see this wine aging and improving gracefully for years - most likely even decades - more. Feels a bit pricey for its quality at 135€, though.

Pale straw yellow. Not much in the nose, perhaps a little banana. Entry shows light Pinot Blanc fruit with medium acidity. Some glycerine and roundness in the taste with a slight bitterness (not uncommon in Alsatian Pinot Blancs) in the finish. A very well-made wine, tho I get the impression that all the components have not yet come together. Actually, a 70% Pinot Blanc, 30% Pinot Auxerrois blend. Biodynamic.

This is just a different beast, unlike sny pinot I’ve had.
Pale garnet in color.
Nose of intense sweet black fruit, licorice, herbs towards oregano, and steak. Develops over time and I think this will become somewhat more charming with either more air or age.
Quite viscous with moderate acidity and body, but insane flavor intensity of boysenberries and herbs.

I’d leave ‘en for now if you have bottles stashed away.

This was quite nice tonight after about an hour of air with lots of deep, rich, flinty orchard fruit with a penetrating, acidic citrus core. There’s good underlying minerality throughout. This was perhaps on the youngish side, but I’ve been burnt by a lot of premoxed bottles of Boillot whites, so I’d rather drink them early and enjoy them sooner, rather than waiting and risking disappointment.
