Aromas of buttered, toasted brioche with some candied lemon. Plenty of lemon, lemon zest, orange zest on palate. Very accessible and balanced. Tasted as part of the Krug lineup this afternoon (96 Brut, MV and Rose MV), I think I just ever-so-slightly preferred this to the "regular" 1996 cuvee, but think this has more energy.

Starts with rich toasted brioche, lemon and orange peel aromas. Palate shows some of the same citrus, but also some ripe apple and pear. Really charming and wonderful already now.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée France, Champagne

The 2009 release. Great aromas of white flowers, lemon peel, orange peel and some smoky elements. Lemon, lemon peel, and hazelnut flavors with great minerality and intensity. Long, powerful and great harmony. This will continue to improve with more time in the cellar.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Krug Champagne Brut Rosé France, Champagne
92 points
Aromas of strawberry, candied orange peel and mandarin orange. Great texture and mineral on palate, with nice Pinot Noir strawberry flavors combine elegantly with lemon and orange flavors. Long, round finish.
