Flight 1 (1 note)

White
2004 Blain-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
89 points
Nose: Yellow apple, pear, some nuts and a slighlty oxidative note.
Palate: Medium acidity, medium body, good tension on the mid-palate, medium+ finish. A solid, well aged white Burgundy.

Flight 2 (1 note)

White
1996 Koehler-Ruprecht Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling Auslese trocken "R" Germany, Pfalz
97 points
Nose: What a wonderful mix of quince, junipers, lime blossom, zest of an orange and a hint of vanilla. With more time in the glass you get notes of tobacco, peat and honey.
Palate: Though the nose of this wine is beautiful the mouthfeel is even better. Great combination of juicy, vibrant acidity, a hint of sweetness and a strong mineral component on the finish. Still so unbelivable young & fresh. Bomb finish.
As Chris mentioned it before. This was crazy good. I find all that I want in this graceful aged Riesling from KR. Wow.

Flight 3 (1 note)

White
2004 Didier Dagueneau Silex France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Pouilly-Fumé
93 points
Nose: Gooseberry, a hint of green pepper and citrus alongside a strong boxwood component. Opens up with some time in the glass and develope a lovley flinty, smoky note too. Very changeable nose.
Palate: Slightly green, stony with a elegant touch. High, vibrant acidity which I like. Very intense, long finish. Still potential left.

Flight 4 (1 note)

White
2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru Bouchères France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
94 points
Nose: A very subtle, elegant, mineral driven nose which seems not really ready to disclose her secrets. Very complex, a bit of pear, lemon zest and a wonderful graceful touch of oak.
Palate: High acidity, oak is noticeable but very well integrated into the wine. Great tension & depth on the mid-palate, very precise & clear. Great freshness . Long finish. Gets better with air. Give it a short decant if you want to enjoy it now.

Flight 5 (1 note)

Red
2002 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
88 points
Nose: Some red fruit alongside some spicy notes, oak, iron and some mushrooms. More on the rustic side. Close up with more time in the glass.
Palate: Again very masculine, with not much elegance. Very "earthy" flavours on the mid-palate. The tannins are still very present. Not really my cup of tea. Maybe I just couldn´t "get" the wine. Needs more time.

Flight 6 (1 note)

Red
2001 Château Léoville Barton France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
91 points
Nose: A LOT of violets mixed with some blackberry and a posh note from the oak. Still very youthful.
Palate: Tight tannins, medium+ acidity which keeps the high extract in a good balance. Medium body. Nice wine although BDX is not my favorite region.

Flight 7 (1 note)

Red
2006 Domaine de la Grange des Pères Vin de Pays de l'Hérault France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Vin de Pays de l'Hérault
91 points
Nose: Black & red cherry, plum and a bit of cinnamon underlaid by a nice sweet component. Very young nose.
Palate: A lot of power & extract but in a more rustic way than my personal taste. I think this will get better with 5 more years of cellar aging.

Flight 8 (1 note)

White
2008 Egon Müller Riesling QbA Scharzhof Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
91 points
Nose: Very fresh & clean nose. Lots of white peach, pineapple and a "slate" component.
Palate: Appeals very young with a great mineral touch on the mid-palate. Juicy acidity. Lean structure. Amazing how this QbA can age. Great showing.

Flight 9 (1 note)

White - Off-dry
2005 Weingut Heymann-Löwenstein Winninger Röttgen Riesling Auslese Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
90 points
Nose: Very exotic nose with aromas of mango, pineapple and honey.
Palate: Nearly zero acid left but still very enjoyable today. I love to end a tasting with such a wine. Thx Chris!
