2004 Dom Pérignon Champagne France, Champagne

From a magnum. Characteristic fresh menthol and intense peppermint note which is paired with a very clean and precise palate. Some burnt/smoked notes appear with time.
I would cellar magnums for at least 5 years, currently it is very nice, but not interesting enough. I was drinking more of Mumm98 and Henriot95 as they had more charm at the moment.

In magnum it was too young and accidic for me. The stuffing may be is there, but I wouldn't touch it for some 3-5 years if I had a magnum.

2006 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut France, Champagne

From a magnum. Loved it. So pure, precise, clean, airy and enjoyable. I can hardly see how a young BdB can be any better.

1995 Henriot Champagne Brut Millésimé France, Champagne

From a Jeroboam. Fully ripe and surprisingly much more mature than Cuvee des Enchanteleurs of the same vintage. At a perfect place now, accidity has subsided a bit leaving soft mildly caramel infused champagne with ripe yellow and white stonefruits. One of my favourites of the night.

1998 G. H. Mumm & Cie Champagne Brut Millésimé France, Champagne
93 points
From a magnum. Liked it much more than another bottle a couple of days before. This had an enticing creamy-buttery bouquet and a velvety, caressing palate. I didn't know that Mumm can be so good.

1985 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année France, Champagne

An old charmer in magnum. Not a lot of bubbles, deep yellow colour. Creamy, spicy, masculine Pinot nose and a bit broad but persuasive palate. A wine to drink not talk about.
