Flight 1 (2 notes)

White
2015 Eleven Eleven Sauvignon Blanc USA, California, Napa Valley, Rutherford
First wine. Crisp and clean, orchard fruit, grapefruit, quince. Nice aperitif
Red
2014 Eleven Eleven Pinot Noir Bacigalupi Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
89 points
Pre-dinner with hors d'oeuvres.

Medium ruby color, opaque. Nose of cherry, spices and vanilla. Palate of dark cherry, plums, baking spice. Medium finish and mouthfeel. Needs a few years in the bottle, should be showing well in about 3 years

Flight 2 (3 notes)

White
2015 Eleven Eleven Chardonnay Dutton Ranch USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
92 points
With salads and first course.

Medium gold color. Nose of lemon zest, white flowers. Oily and textured on the palate. Baked apples, candied lemon, orange peel, butterscotch, marshmallow, floral notes. A lot going on here...classic Dutton Ranch fruit. Really delicious Chardonnay...should drink well for some time, probably improves with a couple years in the bottle. Nice surprise to the upside!
Red
2013 Eleven Eleven Cabernet Sauvignon Laki's Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley, Oak Knoll District
93 points
With main course.

Dense purple color. Rich nose of blackberry, graphite/pencil, oak. Palate of dark berries, cherry preserves, cassis, plums and floral notes. Full bodied, gorgeous texture and mouthfeel. Long and layered finish.

A big wine to be sure, well made and early in its development. This will improve with a few years of bottle age. Surprisingly (to me at least..) how accessible it is now for a 2013... Great find, 11/11 is an up and coming player...good upside with this wine

Red
2014 Eleven Eleven Syrah USA, California, Napa Valley, Oak Knoll District

Last wine of the evening with dessert.

Dark/inky purple color. Nose of dark fruits and spice. Palate of dried black fruits, chocolate, oak. Thick texture and mouthfeel. Not bad, may be a little overdone. Would give this some cellar age to see if it mellows a bit
