Lemon, chalk and mandarin. Mild sweetness and okay length on the palate, though there isn't more interest than decent drinkability here.

Funky earth, honey, lime and some mint - nicely complex nose. The palate is more straightforward with a honeyed overlay, perking up through the mid palate and showing nice length.

Smoke, orange and some dark floral notes. Quite high acidity that offsets the sweetness. Lacking a little in interest, especially on the palate. Carries decently well and it is pleasant but certainly not exciting.

Floral, peach, pear and musky notes. Quite bright fruit on the palate, there is a good streak of acidity and nice length. With a bit more time in the glass the fruit sweetness shows a bit more, but it remains fresh.

Honey, lemon and light herbs - not highly aromatic. Quite sweet and honeyed on the palate, I'd personally like a little more acidity here and I don't think further time will really help.

Peach, musk and strawberry aromas. Palate is lighter on its feet than the 2009, there is some light honey still though but it is better balanced overall. Still reasonably simple, but I think more time will be of benefit to this vintage.

Smoke, lemon, earth and spice. Pretty classic profile on the palate, with youthful acidity and plenty of spark. Good length, plenty of potential. Very different wine to the 2016 which is more approachable.

Lifted nose with white and yellow florals, lime and spice. The palate is quite fruit sweet and the acidity feels restrained. Like the approachability here, it seems to be drinking well already.

Honey, spice, orange peel, slate and a touch of kerosene. Very nice palate, it feels fully mature at this point but still has lifting acidity. Just the right mix of development and still having good fruit presence, this is drinking really well now.

Not super expressive on the nose - lemon, some toast and some straw. The palate is nicer, with good fruit purity and good length. The fruit sweetness does show through, but it works well to give it early drinking pleasure.

Bubblegum, plum, cherry, toast and some funky earthy notes. The palate is more delicate than the sweet nose, though it still has a pretty element to it. Medium length.

Leather, earth, mint and meaty aromas - still some red fruit on the nose and palate as well. Good length and flow on the palate, it is nicely resolved and this bottle drinking very near to its peak.

Blueberry, blackberry and blackcurrant with some ash mixing into the sweetly fruited nose. Sweet and intense on the palate, this is a full and powerful wine in all aspects. There is serious structure to go along with the fruit power, and it holds up well as a result. Certainly needs time, at least another 10 years.

Mint, cherry, chocolate and a little alcohol heat on the nose. The palate is fruit and alcohol driven, along with a pretty hard hitting oak profile. This needs a lot of time to come together, it isn't close to ready now.

A bit advanced.

Cherry, meat, violets and spice. High acidity on the palate, this has medium length and restrained fruit. I worry a little bit about the acidity poking out further with time, especially with the leanness of the fruit. Decent for now.

Rubber, cherry, raspberry and VA aromas. Medium fruit density on the palate, the acidity is a little bit rasping and the palate doesn't have as much going on as the nose. Wasn't particularly keen on spending more time with this.

Lighter styled Grenache. Cherry, florals and a light herbal undertone. The palate is sweeter in style but still carries it well and has good poise. Nice length. I found this to be quite enjoyable.

Blackcurrant, graphite, pepper and some undergrowth. Ramped up sweetness on the palate, the savoury and spice notes on the nose don't follow through. The palate is distinctly Barossan in style.

Pepper, herbal notes and cherry, with the alcohol sticking out a bit on this bottle. The palate is spicy and feels a little thin and weak. Not sure if this bottle wasn't up to scratch but it wasn't appealing.

Floral, red cherries, plum and some light earthy notes. The palate has nice texture and is consistent across its medium length. Has some interest and I quite like where this might go with a few more years.

Floral, plum, raspberry and ash on the nose. The palate shows good balance and there is a good amount of texture to play against the sweetness of the fruit. Good length and potential to improve.

Raspberry, cherry, licorice and earth. The palate has some intensity to the red fruit but it remains quite fresh and fine. Seems like a nice wine that could get better with further time.

Quite floral on the nose, mint, cherry and orange. The palate is quite perky, with the fruit in the background as the acidity controls the line. Good length, I wish it showed a little more depth though.

Heavily bretty - meaty, leather and smoke with a metallic edge on the nose and palate. The fruit on the palate is hard to pick up and I think it is clear that the wine suffers from the brett. Sadly this bottle was not up to an excellent (and quite clean) bottle from 2013.

Lifted nose - pepper, floral, cherry and redcurrant. The palate is quite peppery as well, I'm not quite sure that it has enough interest beyond that to hold attention through more than a glass. Medium length.
