Introduction
A real treat to taste with Frederic at the domaine in their ancient cellars. Quantities in 2016 are minuscule due to the frost, but what remains are truly delicious and already quite approachable.

Barrel tasting at domaine. Simple but elegant aromas of beautiful bright cherry fruit. Very fresh and already quite approachable. Lots of berry fruit. A high quality bourgogne. 87-89 points.

Barrel tasting at domaine. Lots of bright cherry and florals. Excellent purity and freshness of fruit. Good length and lift. 88-90 points.

Barrel tasting at domaine. Really impressive here. Excellent lifted cherry and spice aromatic. The palate has very good concentration filled with pure cherry and loads of spice. Long finish. Impressive. 91-93 points.

Barrel tasting at domaine. Pronounced and lifted aromatics of elegant red cherry and spice. A real step up in finesse with great acidic tension and lift. Very good concentration once again. Already approachable. 92-94 points.

Barrel tasting at domaine. According to Frederic, this is painstakingly de-stemmed by hand (as was done in 1900-1930 period). Soaring, beautiful nose of red cherries and spice. Wow, already so tasty and approachable. Terrific concentration and perfume throughout. 93-95 points.
