Solid fruit and quite oxidized. Orange peel and elderflower. A delicious wine but also very much outside the box and clearly different from everything else. Very exciting!

95 points
Intense pineapple fruit and a wonderful balance. Very impressive wine!
White
2012 Kongsgaard Chardonnay Kings Farm USA, California, Napa Valley
92 points
Caramel and coffee with lots of fruit. The oak influence seems to dominate a little bit at this point and the alcohol is dominating a little bit.
It is however very lush and easy to drink and has a great acidity.
White
2014 Paul Cluver Chardonnay Seven flags South Africa, Cape South Coast, Elgin
93 points
Young fresh exotic fruits mixed with buttered popcorn.
The acidity is crisp and intense. Overall the wine is very lovely and a pleasure to drink.

Red
1983 Lisini Brunello di Montalcino Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
93 points
Mellow and sweet dark fruits but also some soy and black tea. Has a lot of manure on the nose also.
Surprisingly, there are a lot of fruit left and a wonderful piercing acidity. Very impressive wine!
Red
1979 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino

Brown and metallic but still intense flavors. Manure, tobacco and wet leaves with only a touch of fruit left.
Quite rustic and my previous bottle was a lot better.
