the nose is very nice with pure fruit, nice salinity, but only middle length, a bit of a deception knowing this top ranking 1er cru from Domaine Leflaive.
White
2001 Trimbach Riesling Clos Ste. Hune France, Alsace
94 points
mineral, slight petrol notes, salinity, very dense with exceptionnel length, still a youngster
White

94 points
lemon, smoky, elevage notes (wood) still present, youthful with enormous length.
Red
2014 Domaine Muré Pinot Noir Clos Saint Landelin France, Alsace

light at the beginning, got some weight during aeration, Pleasant cherry notes, good wine, but needs to be decanted.
Red

92 points
smoky, dense, dark cherries, excellent wine, already very good, but not yet on its apogee.

Red
2005 Mathilde et Yves Gangloff Côte-Rôtie La Serene Noire France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
brute, meaty, not ready at all, difficult to judge, not rated.
Red
1989 Château Lynch-Bages France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
93 points
on the nose some sweet notes, on the palate black fruit, nicely integrated tannins, very good.
Red
1999 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
very dense, opaque, difficult to identify even the grape variety and region during this blind tasting. Double closed, needs another 20? years. Not rated.
White
2004 Marcel Deiss Altenberg de Bergheim France, Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru
92 points
Passion fruit, lemon, sweet notes, dense, excellent.

Closing

As usual very good and interesting stuff.
