Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Egly-Ouriet Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
90 points
Disgorged July 2019. Lemon, spice, strawberry and graphite. Very clean and pure on the palate, with a little grip on the finish. Doesn't really show any depth, but it's still a tasty drink.
White - Sparkling
2017 Roses de Jeanne / Cédric Bouchard Champagne Blanc de Noirs Côte de Val Vilaine France, Champagne
92 points
April 2019 disgorgement. Lemon curd, white floral soaps, peach and pear. Bright acidity, lemon tang, good length and flavour. As is usually the case, Cedric Bouchard delivers the goods.

White
2018 Dönnhoff Felsenberg Riesling Großes Gewächs Germany, Nahe
92 points
Petrol, lime, white florals. Super cleansing palate, zingy acidity but the fruit ripeness sits in behind well. Beautiful length and composure. 10-15 years here should see an excellent wine develop.
White - Off-dry
2015 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
93 points
Peach, pear, orange and musky florals on the nose. Amazing energy and vibrancy, lifts and lifts across the palate. Delicious, fantastic wine.

2018 Caroline Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Chambrées France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
88 points
Very smoky nose with lime and oak as well. Structured on the palate, but feels a little janky as a result. Probably needs time but not sure where it'll land.
White
2018 Benjamin Leroux Meursault Les Narvaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
90 points
Smoke, pear, graphite and apple on the nose. Fairly rich profile, with good flavour intensity. Seems good, but does lack excitement, maybe it will come with time.
White
2019 Andrew Thomas Wines Sémillon Like A Version Braemore Australia, New South Wales, Hunter Valley
90 points
Lemon peel, smoke and a little bit of sappy, herbal funk. Textured with plenty of flavour intensity and more of that sappy note. Definitely breaks our of the mold of traditional Hunter Sem, it won't please everyone but it's interesting if nothing else.
White
2016 Bell Hill Chardonnay New Zealand, South Island, Canterbury
92 points
Blind. Sea spray, vanilla, orange and lemon with well handled oak as well. Delicate on the palate, clean line of acid sweeping through. Really refined wine. Impressed!
White - Off-dry
2000 Weingut Max Ferd. Richter Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
92 points
Apricot, lemon, orange and slate. Good acidity, delicate fruit, lovely balance with the sweetness folded in. Really nice spot for drinking now.
Red
2015 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Montefico Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco
91 points
Roses, cherry, redcurrant and some smoky oak notes. Plenty of structure here, with red and black fruits sitting in support. Good acidity and very good potential over the next 15 or so years.

Red
2010 Azelia Barolo Bricco Fiasco Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
92 points
Violets, plum, earthy spice and blackberry. Plenty of fruit weight here, but does have the structure to give it the right amount of backing. Pretty strong showing but the best is yet to come.
Red
2016 M. Chapoutier Cornas Les Arenes France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas
88 points
Bright purple fruit on the nose and palate, with violets and light earth. Medium bodied palate, it's nice enough but not exactly generating much excitement over and above being nice to drink. Medium length.
Red
1983 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
85 points
Chocolate, pepper, VA and meaty notes. On the palate it is a bit tired and flat, there isn't the fruit or acid to give it any lift. Holding on okay
Red
2013 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon Calistoga USA, California, Napa Valley, Calistoga
91 points
Earthy, spice, redcurrant, charcoal and cranberry. Solid Cabernet profile - good composure with plenty of dusty red fruit. Balance is excellent and has good length. In a good drinking spot already but also should hold for some time.
Red
2013 Wantirna Estate Cabernet Franc / Merlot Hannah Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Yarra Valley
91 points
Blind. Earth, spice, cherry and plum. Nice wine, lean profile with restrained red fruit and acid stretching it out. Good length with an appealing held back style.
Red
2016 La Dame de Montrose France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe
90 points
Graphite and violets, with some cherry and blackcurrant as well. Needs time - clearly tense structure on the palate, with the tannins wrapping the tannins up tightly. Feels like another 10 years might see it opening up.

Red
2012 Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Classico Superiore
88 points
Graphite, plum, black cherry, cinnamon and tar. Rich palate, with deep seated black fruits and plenty of extract. Plenty of density but maybe without the magic balance this producer often comes up with.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2010 Rockford Sémillon Botrytis Cinerea Australia, South Australia, Barossa
90 points
Orange, florals, apricot and lemon. Medium sweetness on the palate, held up well with some tangy acid. Drinking well now.
Red
1978 Domaine de Chevalier France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
flawed
Corked.
