Flight 1 (3 notes)

Red
2010 Giuseppe Nada Barbaresco Riserva Casot Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco
This seems to be getting to the mature stage. Drank from a tiny glass in a Cornish holiday home with superb fish and chips. Lovely structure to it, strong backbone. Seems to be losing the cherry sourness but there is still good acidity. Very nice drop. Also last time we go on holiday without wine glasses - absolute rookie move.
Red
2020 Trivento Malbec Reserve Argentina, Mendoza
Perfectly decent Malbec. Had a whiff of brett which is not usually something I associate with mass production supermarket wines - perhaps wrongly. Perhaps the tiny glass worked in this wine’s favour.
Red
2010 Château Poujeaux France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Moulis en Médoc
after a couple of underwhelming experiences this old favourite is back on form. A lovely claret with just a touch of 2010 heft, and maybe a hint of sweetness. This is a lovely Poujeaux.
