Flight 1 (3 notes)

White - Sparkling
N.V. Charles Mignon Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée Comte de Marne France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
92 points
Slightly toasty and also effervescent. This seemed a touch light, but I did agree with the flavor profile.
Rosé - Sparkling
2009 Moët & Chandon Champagne Grand Vintage Rosé France, Champagne
89 points
The nose has pleasant brioche and pear. The palate is significantly less interesting, and there's some bitterness to the finish. I haven't thought much of the 2006 vintage and this is 1 small step better.
White
2009 Ramey Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros
94 points
This wine is showing as good as it did 7 years oak. Butter stands out along with golden fruit, oak and refreshing acid.

Flight 2 (7 notes)

Red
2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
95 points
Drank a small glass over an hour. Ripe earthy funk reminiscent of rotting tomatoes (not a bad thing). The funk blew off after about 30 minutes. On the palate, almost a scorched earth flavor like ash. Dried forest floor. Slight evergreen that is initially quite high-toned and also settled down after 30 minutes. Very nuanced and continued to change over the 1 hour it was in front of me.
Red
1998 Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Combe aux Moines France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
89 points
Drank a very small glass over an hour. Brooding, woodsy, bramble, spice and acid. This was a pleasant food wine. In all fairness, serving this right after 2007 Innocent white rose didn't do it any favors.
Red
2005 Faiveley Clos Vougeot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
90 points
Decanted about an hour. Light, high acid but not high-toned. Pleasant and easy drinking but not terribly exciting. 89-90.
Red
1993 Château Léoville Barton France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
92 points
Splash decant, drank a small glass over an hour. Slight anise and funk on the nose. The palate is fairly acidic, wit green bramble and a little beef blood. Nice but quite light, maybe a step down the downward slope. The positive and negative qualities make this difficult for me to score, but it's somewhere in the 91-93 range depending on your preference for older wines.
Red
2009 Joseph Phelps Insignia USA, California, Napa Valley
89 points
Decanted a couple hours. For me, this was just too young. I feel Insignia's are quite big, fruity and dense in their youth, and they need 25+ years to lean out. I was curious where this wine would be, and regrettably its quite burly at this time in its life. Hold.

Red
2001 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Chaupin France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
This wine has not aged well, and I wouldn't expect it to. The wine is dense with tar and blackberry, quite pruny with stewed fruit and little/no acid. This was probably better 5-10 years ago.
Red
2017 J.L. Chave Sélection Crozes-Hermitage Silène France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Crozes-Hermitage
90 points
Drank a small glass over an hour. Nice herbs and red fruits, good balance. Some purple fruit peaks through once in a while. 89-90.

Flight 3 (1 note)

White - Sweet/Dessert
2001 Château Suduiraut France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes
92 points
Drank a small glass over 45 minutes. As nice as this was, it didn't measure up to most of the bottles we've had so far. This bottle was more advanced than other non-flawed bottles I've had.
