Medium straw, with fine beads, and daybright. Some weight, but the acids do provide a lift and sense of elegance, whilst the lemon and peach flavours are ripe, and some white florals and bready, buttery feel. Finish of floral aromatics. Nice!

Deep ruby, with browning fading edges. Liquorice overtones, with mint, ripe blackberry, cassis, coffee. Soft tannins, mouthwatering acids, but somewhat watery on the mouthfeel, with blackberry, plum, pepper, paprika, mint. Length seem somewhat lacking

Tannins still biting despite the 20 years of age, and fresh acids, as well as a very earthy mossy overtone, then herbal characters, and then violets and blackberry, and savoury meaty towards the back. Complex and lengthy. Nice!
