I question the high ratings for this wine. Perhaps they are tasting a different one. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess. It has a smoky, plum, and black currant flavour and tastes of tar as it goes down.

Not sure if we are drinking the same wine. But, I would not call it sweet. It is dry.

A strange vinegar like taste to this wine. I will avoid it in future. Unfortunately, I have 4 more bottles. This will be a wine I use for cooking.

Excellent. Liight color with smoky deep cherry based smooth nose. Rich balance of cherry and tannins. i love and agree with the eucalyptus taste comments. Sad that this is our last bottle.

Smoked vanilla bean, plum jam, licorice and sweet herbs. OR, as the esteemed Vinous had to say: “Medium-deep red. Strawberry, redcurrant, licorice, mocha and wild herbs on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Concentrated, fully ripe and tactile, but with firm acidity giving shape to the flavors of red fruits, herbs and tobacco leaf. A fleshy, rather primary wine in a New World style, showing its substantial new oak element (71% new French and American), plus a savory note of green olive. The tannins build without ever dominating.”

The 2013 Selection Blend of Terroir blends grapes and origins from the Valle de Uco. It's a Malbec-based red with 20% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc mostly from La Consulta and Altamira (and other selected locations). Pelleriti fermented the Malbec together with the Petit Verdot and another part with the Cabernet Franc, all of it in rolling oak barrels with manual pigeage and indigenous yeasts. The wines matured in French oak barrels, 20% of them new, for 16 to 22 months depending on the lot, and then were kept in bottle for no less than 18 months before being released. This is a superb, balanced, classical, ripe and compact blend. It's well-oaked and powerful, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. It has great fruit, persistence and depth and it has the freshness and balance to develop nicely in bottle. 3,929 bottles were filled in November 2014.

93 points, Wine Advocate (Issue # 228 - Dec 2016)

Aromas of ripe fruits, sliced mushroom and hints of nuts. Full body, silky tannins and a long and refined finish. Very pretty and racy. Drink now.

93 points, James Suckling (May 2016)
