6/3/23, 1:35 AM - Agree. I’ve been collecting wine for +35 years and more than half of better wines has an initial opening window of 1-3 years and then close down and gets muted/neutral/plain for a number of years. If wines is served over 1-3 days they often reveal themselfes as they would be in 2-5 years. This goes for as a minimum for Barolo, Burgundy, german riesling and bordeaux.
12/23/20, 2:54 PM - San Lorenzo is found in Verduno and in Barolo (Cannubi). This wine should be from commune Verduno. I’ve tasted it since 2011-2016 against Monvigliero.
12/9/20, 8:50 AM - Thanks for your comment. I did taste it over 2 days - kept it cool and with cork reinserted. It was better on day two. I would suggest to give it at least two hours decanting. Done this with many Barolo 2016 ie. just now with Alessandra Fratelli 2016 normale🍷
1/4/20, 12:36 PM - Yes - in this case I consumed 3 bottles within a week. Some wines fluctuate quite a lot even on one day for the next either caused by the moon/biodynamic calender or bottle variations. So even if I drink two identical bottles same evening, I would give two notes unless they are similar.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
