Always fantastic to open such a big bottle, and always interesting to find out how the wine have evolved. Wine was well balanced, and had a lot of finesse. No doubt that this bottle could have been kept for another 15-20 years without going down. Salute to Mr. Merino

Maybe this wine was bad - had a very faint smell of cork (not normal corked) but enough to destroy the overall impression of the wine. Still alive - a typical taste from burgundy. Hope the rest are better.

Berryish fruit, earthy-leathery minerality and vanilla. Its time to drink up - starts to get a little tired.

wine was oxidized - not very pleasant. Questions was this a single bottle problem - or are all the bottles dead.

After a couple of hours in the carafe the wine really evolved - and showed all its caracters, tobacco and berries. It was rounded nicely, and I believe it should be drunk now if you still want to taste the fruit.

medium yellow color with such a great nose. nice tokay, full bodied , nice flowers on the nose. full-bodied. Special taste - but I just love this wine

Still very potent - fruit and tannins still shows the opportunity to store the wine for some years without any problems. Elegant vitality and consistency exceptional palette of bouquets, fruity flavours.
Keep for some years still without problems.

nicely balanced - tannins have reduced - tasted against 2006. Clearly this wine needs some years in the bottle. Drinks well now and the next 3-4 years.

Still lot of tannins - lots of structure - could have been decanted for a more balanced structure -

Nicely equilibrated, should have been decanted a little earlier. Gained a lot on the glass after an hour.

So young and still so impressive - i would serve this at any time - very mature
Opaque red/maroon color, full bodied. Nose of cigar, cedre and mushroom. Alcohol here is borderline. Luxurious texture, silky and smooth, closed tannins. this wine clearly shows the potential of the future

Still veryyoung looking, hardly any bricking. Slightly obtrusive acid at first but that too improved with air. The finish was the best part though ... long and lingering. Be carefull this wine is close to maturity.
