Wonderful tropical fruit nose and tasta. Apricots with a hint of grapefruit on the nose. Was still drinking very well. Could have lasted longer.

Nicely integrated. Still showing some structure while showing off a smooth longish finish. Have not checked the winemakers notes but AMerican oak is def. part of this.

Long balanced rich wine. Toes the line well with respect to over the top aussie shiraz.

90 pts. Very good balance and medium finish. One of the better CA Grenache I have had in a while. Good level of extraction, not over ripe. Some level of minerality.

Nice tightly wound wine with nice acidity. Wine opened up nicely after a while to reveal a classic RRV Pinot which is on the lighter more structured side.

Smoky, Big leather and tobacco. Opened up towards the end but should have decanted the wine for maximum opening. Nice structure and balance once the smoky oak gave way a little bit.

08/30/11 - Very nice bottle of wine. Medium to long finish with just enough structure and tannins. Fruit was still very much present. A well preserved 7 yr old Zin.

Fruit has deffinitely faded some but the wine stills shows a nice medium to long finish and has leathery overtones and a generally pleasant wine.

Wine has def. peaked. Fruit has faded away to reveal a leathery, balanced finish, but fruit has diminished,

Good balance. A bit on the extracted side. Full body maybe lacks a bit more structure. Overall, very enjoyable anyway.

4/14/10 The fruit had faded a bit but after aeration, the wine showed pretty well, leathery nose and nice medium finish.

2/9/09 91pts - Syrah provides nice weight to the strawberry fruit. Slightly acidic which helps with food pairing. Slightly cloudy in appearance.

Nice tight black cherry, tobacco and earthy medium finish. Very pleasant wine. Seems more of a cool climate syrah.

Classic style Syrah. This wine had a nice color when poured. The wine is a bit thinner than some CA syrah, but generally speaking, a pleasant wine, balanced, without too much of the dark fruit. Deffinitely more classic in style.
