Almost like a fino sherry. Golden and oily texture. Warm thyme and dried apricot flavours. Should have drunk 5 years ago as now past it, and this bottle merely teased me with what might have been.

Disappointing for this Chateau.

Lovely elegant hermitage. Raspberries and cherries with smokey spicey undertones

I like old wine but waited too long. Still with vestiges of grandeur but lacked depth

Needed minimum 1 hour decanting, then was lovely. Silky blueberry and blackberries.

A little restrained but good simple claret with soft blackberry fruits. Tried some the following day and tasted almost Lebanese.

Good non appellation Bordeaux. Benefited from decanting. A little dry

Still alive and kicking. Very cassis and strong mulberry / summer fruit with a touch of smoke. Companion accused it of being too sweet though I disagree

Like a thin respectable but well dressed man this wine spoke more of the past and how one should have met him years ago. Pleasing but most past prime. Magnum

Orange water and burnt sugar - tokay like? Not the same fig notes as last bottle but still the freshness. Lovely

Like other reviewers I was surprised by the life still in the bottle but I think the magnum format. Always helps prolong. Dark colour with earthy forresty flavours but silky finish. I don't intend to wait long before having my final one of these

This is a great second wine. Has really improved since last drank in 2008. Good texture but slightly thin on the palette.

Difficult to fully taste due to drinking from goblets. Simple claret

I agree with previous review a slightly disappointing Beaumont. A fair claret still and a magnum of it was pleasing lunchtime drink. Lacking depth

Very enjoyable Barsac. Good sugar levels (not too sweet which is how I like it). Perhaps lacking in complexity especially on the nose.

Cross between a barsac and montbaziac - lovely. Not too much sugar. Aprioct and aniseed

Gentle sift fruit. Cassis but not too light - summer pudding / red current. Smooth and surprisingly gentle at 14%

Benefited from decanting for a good hour; improved from when last tasted in 2008. Pleasant but not the best segla by a long shot

Perfect mature wine in 2009 but faded a lot in a year. Pleasing still
