Brought to a restaurant, pretty much pop and pour, although we let it sit in the bottle for 15-20 minutes... We have had the 09 before, we went to the release party, the 06 was better that night, but the 09 was very good. Last night the 09 wasn't as I remembered it, it was a bit more transparent in color, a bit lighter in body than I remembered. Wasn't perfect with the steak, but it still very good! It definitely needs another year or more, I will wait on the other bottles until then...

No spritz at all. Nice dark color. Tons of dark fruit (mostly blue), I didn't get any spice or anything else that has been mentioned previously but this is a fantastic wine!

Great QPR, daily drinker. Typical Santa Barbara/Santa Maria Pinot Noir characteristics

Big for a pinot, dark fruit with a little smokiness. Very Yummy!

Big meaty rich concentrated, smoked meat on the nose with slight note of alcohol, dark fruit and maybe bacon on pallete. Needs at least an hour or two to breath, and like most well made wines, hold up great day 2, maybe even better than day 1.

Rich and concentrated dark fruits with a hint of chocolate and a very slight spicy note on the finish... Will probably be even better after time but for now a long decant will do the trick and the 2nd day, if it lasts that long, is even better than the 1st day...

Definitely on the lighter side of grenache... After a 30 minute decant, it was good, with some red fruit in there, then had a chicken salad, changed everything, this wine is a food wine... Much better, slight spice on the finish.. After a slight rest, it reminded me more of a Borolo than a Grenache, then it changed back to a light Grenache... My wife and I were just at the Volk tasting room this past weekend and tasted this one along with some other great wines Ken makes... This one isn't his very best but good nevertheless

I was hoping for more... Lots of cherries and red fruit... Maybe it'll be better in a couple years?

It got good scores so I decided to grab a bottle from a local shop with high expectations. I decanted in the bottle for about an hour and gave it a taste.... First thought, lots of acidity with tart tannins, this wine needs much more time in the bottle and is not drinkable now at all. I let it sit for a couple hours, trying a sip every now and then and it did get slightly better and since I couldn't drink any more of it that way, maybe day two will be better I'm guessing it will only be slightly better, I would say drink starting 2012, maybe even 2013.
