Tasting Notes for PieterHaag

Compared to the 2007 vintage, one of my favourite wines, this is much less developed an more vegetal and tannic. Still, well balanced and enjoyable to drink, eith a flowery bouwuet and long aftertaste. It will be interesting to see how it develops in thecoming years.

Some improvement, more balance, but still lacking in depth. And yes, of course it's North Italian, it's dolcetto, so it's a delicate wine -- which, incidentally, can be wonderful without food as well, but this has been a really disappointing wine. I am sorry to say, since I bought this from the farmer himself, and he's a really nice guy. Also, the 2008, which i could not buy anymore but drank at a friend's, was excellent.
