Vulcanized rubber is all I can say. Dissappointing. Must jave been off. Once it aired out a bit the tire smell blew off and some decernable friut and earthy charachter from the barbera came through.

Vibrant red colour. Strawberry rhubarb pie with some earthiness on the nose that evolved to a very sweet strawberry danish the longer it sat in the glass. stewed fruit with some tobacco on the mid palate and a dried fig and raisin on the medium length finish. Noticeable tannins with some additional spice and heat on the finish. Very likable, but might benefit with some more down time.

Decanted for half an hour with the use of a venturi. I think this likely benefited a great deal as I didn't sense the youthfulness of the wine other reviewers noted.

Decent S.Rhone. Not a stand out by any means, but decent for the 15 bucks.

Pop and pour. Cotton candy with lilac notes. Excellent dried fruit with a medium-long finish. Liked it a lot. Especially for the price - $14.

Popped and poured. Barnyard funk upon opening which quickly blew off leaving a slightly smoky, vegetal (asparagus) note with damp or wet wood aroma. Slightly musty. After some time in the glass some meaty notes appeared.

chocolate cherry nose and a brilliant red colour. Faint rose petal aroma. Has a nice smooth, full mouth feel... definitely not thin. Heady fungal, earthy finish which added a nice complexity.

bold earthy nose with an orange at around meniscus. Tobacco and leather with a lengthy finish. Tannins softened on the second day and the fruit was much more pronounced.

deep red. Quite gamy nose. Barnyard, sour cherry, and forest floor. Ash/smoke and again, quite gamy on the palate. This wine cries out for aged cheese. Musty, peppery finish. No specific discernible fruit on the palate. Full bodied with silky tannins. Quite complex.

black plum type of deep red in the glass. Strawberry, raspberry aromas with spice, mostly clove, on the nose. Spice and pepper on the palate moving towards strawberry jam with a light tobacco finish. Balanced tannins, but slightly thin on the mouthfeel. Overall quite good. Some sediment.

Dark ruby red in the glass. Sour cherry nose, some floral. Initial palate is kind of nondescript. Some heat. Finish is kinda nice, strawberry rhubarb pie and a lingering strawberry jamminess. I also concur that it was better the second day.

Dark red in the glass. Raspberry nose with a medium to fully bodied red fruit, strawberry jam, and "super nibs" licorice. Tasty cotton candy lingering finish.

Had it after a tasty primitivo....mistake. Seemed a little lack luster when I actually think it was just the comparison that threw it off. I'm going to save judgement for the next bottle.

loved it. Golden caramel straw colour. Overwhelming lychee nose, which was fantastic. Pear, honey, and caramel palate with a luxurious silky mouthfeel that coated and lingered. Thanks Brad and Aubrey for giving us this great bottle of wine! Although the seared/poached pork chops in a parchment bag with steamed apples, and sauted shallots would have been fantastic with this in '04, I think the time in the cellar was well worth the wait.

citrus nose but thats where it stops. Palate is lacking, mouthfeel isn't great. some acidity on the finish that doesn't do it for me. Doesn't even resemble riesling.

Very enjoyable wine, plum and black fruit nose. Dried fruit, raisin, and spice on the palate. if every bottle was like this, for the price, its a buy again and again.

Blueberry and other dark fruit on the nose. Cherry and blueberry on the palate, I do wood working and this reminded me of the experience of working with cherry wood as there was some earthy wood notes as well. Some vanilla present as well. Low tannins.

Although it was a bit long in the cellar, it still showed well to start. Dark fruit, cedar, some strawberry/cranberry with a very earthy, almost mushroomy finish. it started going downhill the longer it was open.
