Obtained from the three grape varieties Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz (hence the name). Its intense aroma of strawberries, a little animal print, leather, vanilla. It is a medium bodied wine with good fruit and a flavor that is very mature in it and is really good! Here's a bit of sweetness, but it works fine.

Domaine Albert Boxler perfectly typifies the small gems waiting to be discovered in Alsace. Currently run by Jean Boxler, the grandson of the man whose name still graces the bottle, Domaine Albert Boxler has been a family affair for more than 300 years. Located in the small town of Niedermorschwir, the family owns only 26 acres of vineyards.

But what a 26 acres it is! Eighty percent of the family's land is Grand Cru designated, and includes sections of the famous vineyards of Sommerberg and Brand. All 26 acres are organically farmed by the 34-year-old Boxler, his wife, his parents, and a few vineyard workers.

Pale yellow-gold in the glass, this wine has a beautiful nose of honey and dried apricot aromas. In the mouth it is thick and rich on the tongue, slippery in its apricot and honey swirl of flavors, but with good acids that just pucker the cheeks. Off dry, with a little sweetness ...

Miro de Ribera comes from a Spanish winery called Bodegas Penafiel. It is located approx. 80 km from Valladolid in northern Spain.

I opened the bottle and could immediately smell platter. I was afraid that it might hit the stopper sick. But it got the chance. And it turned out that it was as it should be.

The scent jumps directly into the nose. Black currants and plums and especially dish. You would think that you sniffed directly from the opening of the casks, the wine was stored on. The scent is strong ...

The first thing that hits the tongue, the sweet flavor of plums and a full fruity taste, which also found blackberries. But then they take over Miro Ribera great dryness. It felt throughout the mouth. Tongue and cheeks shrink ... And it is dry .. really dry. And it continues to hang in your mouth very long time ...

A dense, concentrated and silky juice bomb from Puglia made from local grapes, Negroamaro and Primitivo, of which a proportion has been allowed to hang extra long time on the vines before vinification, so they shrink. In this way concentrated aroma compounds, giving extra body and power to the wine. This type of wine is best known from Valpolicella at the other end of Italy, but is also excellent in Puglia!

Scent and taste are intense shades of prunes, ripe blackberry, cherry, milk chocolate and 'hot' spices in the direction of cinnamon. The taste is rich and concentrated, but without rasping tannins.

DKK 75 is a very fair price for such an everyday wine indeed. From this day I will keep having it in my winecellar ... :o)

The first time I tasted this wine from the same vintage was at Molskroen Jutland (DK). It kicked so to speak, the legs completely away from me. The color is pretty golden, while the scent is mixed between pineapple, exotic fruits and a fairly strong smell of petroleum. The taste is sweet and perfectly balanced with ripe fruit and flowers. I love this wine by Jos. Christoffel Jr.

I was a bit disappointed with this ripasso. Think it would better to keep it at cellar for minimum another year.

Combination of ripe red fruit aromas with a blend of toast tobacco and chocolate. The palate is medium bodied with a pleasant smooth finish. It is well balanced, has a nice structure and is very easy to drink. For the future this wine will be one of my everyday wines ... The value has been settled between DKK 85-120, but the buying rate is approximately DKK 50 per bottle.

Clear and ruby color. Modest aroma with hint of raspberry. Discrete tannins. Taste of sweet fruit and a little prune - Amarone-like in character from dried grapes, like an original Ripasso.

I didn't decant the wine + the temperature was approx. 12 degrees when I opened the bottle.

After about 1 hour open it taste much better and sweet ...

Pulcino is a small family-owned property producing only about 20,000 bottles. I bought 3 bottles on my vacation to Montepulciano during summer 2010 ...

This one I served a bit to cold approx. 12 degress which of course didn't help the wine to develop ... It was to dry in my opinion, however I will give it a second try on a later stage.

It is gently creamy, full, stylish, with a gentle balance of acidity. There is even some apparent bright fruit on the finish, more than the nose suggested I would find here.

Borgo Scopeto Riserva is very intense in color and bold on the glass. The scent is also very delicate and complex with notes of small wild cherry and delicate shades of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. In flavor, the wine is very rich and the velvet-like character packs tannin incredibly well with. The wine is well balanced and long in the aftertaste.
