Last time i tasted this i wrote: "Elegent and in perfect balance! Can't wait to see what will happen with a few more year of cellaring" - that was 8 month ago and this is still a beautiful wine and I still think it will benefit for further lay down. 8 more bottles to go!

Dark fruits, nice acids and smooth tannins. This wine is a very good drink now with some age on the shoulders and I really enjoyed it

Perfect wine - still fruity and with beautiful. A real gem and by no way over the top. Have no clue what the other tasters of the vintage got, but it wasn't the wine a drank!

Ruby and very transparent. Powerful nose of strawberry from the glass and again in the taste. Easy and almost weightless in the mouth. Perfect for at spring or summer day served at 14-16C

Bottle had a very bad side note i the bouquet. The taste wasn't as bad as the smell suggested, but never the less I deem it undrinkable. The cork was fine, and a bit of sediment in the bottle and the bottle has been stored in my own cellar since young, so probably this is just way over the top and going down fast. I have two bottles more of this in my cellar and they will tell if this is a single bottle flaw or if the wine has passed away.

This bottle are tight and controlled, almost black in the glass with classic hints of pepper and graphite. Fine and well structured tannins, with a medium to medium+ finish. This wine is drinking better and better and i have a hunch that it can continue to evolve to even greater heights over the next year or two.

Popped this bottle one received as gift for using in a boeuf bourguignon I was about to making. Had no expectation to this quite cheap supermarket wine, but of cause I had to taste it. And boy was i surprised - this was a wonderful and honest wine, with great drinkablity. By no means a remarkable wine, but way more that a food wine!

Produced like a classic Amarone, but without the Amarone designation. And the taste confirms this. Classic amarone taste and bouquet with prunes and cherrys. Good glass!

Easy drinking cool-climate pinot. Nice tight acids and classic, but subtle, pinot bouquet. A pretty simple wine, but never the less lovely - especially at $13.

Nothing to do with what I understand from a barolo! But if I forget the barolo label for a moment, this is actually a very drinkable but simple nebbiolo at a very cheap price (approx. $11). I like it and i like the QPR, but of cause its not a classic Barolo at the price point.

Opened the bottle and were already pretty sure it would be way over the top, but what a surprise. Expressive nose and wonderful fruit driven taste with good and balanced acidity, but a somewhat short to medium aftertaste Will leave the rest of the bottle for tomorrow and see what happens.

Starts off with amazing a bouquet, and the taste is there but feels watered down. Nothing bad in the taste - just like a thin, thin wine. I remember this wine and vintage as having much more power when i tasted it 3 years ago, so my left bottles are probably just over the top or very closed

Color very dark, almost black but with beginning browning at the edge. Expected a wine over the top, but this '03 Falesco Oro showed fresh red fruits, good acidity and fine balanced tannin. I havn't tasted it before tonight, but from the taste and smell this wine dont seem to has take a downfall for over-cellaring yet.

Grapes of Northen Italy (Copenhagen): Its not every day I get to pop a 1998 Amarone, and the Zonin was stellar. Peber and berrys. Cant think of many bottles i would love so much to have more of the my cellar, but this was the only one.

Grapes of Northen Italy (Copenhagen): Excellent barolo from a good year. Even with 27 years on the shoulders this bottle is still in good shape. Loads of nutty flavours and brown look. We were not expecting this bottle to be anything except for a experience, but its a quite pleasant glass even though my taste buts prefer the taste of younger bottle.

Beautiful drink. Lots of red fruits and hints of dough on the bouquet. Not as dry as expected. Startede out at 8C but got better and better as the bottle got a bit warmer. Will let it rest at the kitchen table for 30 minutes before opening the next as the extra 5C really lets this little gem shine. 90-91 cold a 8C and 92 at 12C

Very nice Sonoma Pinot Noir. Plenty of nice red fruit on the palate with a hint of oak which I think could benefit from a bit more cellaring.

Dark ruby color, bordering on black, cherry flavors, quite tannic with a hint of oak. Getting some spices in the finish. I actually like it already, but I think it will turn in to more of crowd please with a year or three of cellaring. I bought two cases and I will be looking forward to follow it's progress the next couple of years...

I drank a bottle of this '07 Piani exactly one year ago and today i decided to crack open another. The reason: Just received a case of the '09 which are getting stellar professional reviews (93 RR, 91 IWC). I am so looking forward to tasting the '09 after retasting the '07 again today. The '07 is coming together perfectly - i think it will be peaking next year - and I can’t think of many Barbera’s I rather be drinking than this little gem by Pelissero. At this QPR it’s just about stocking up!

This bottle is probably over the top. Its a couple of years since i last drank one of these for the cellar and since its gotten harder on the palate. Also this bottle had quite a bit of residue that i don't remember having experienced in my previous bottles, so it could be somewhat flawed. Still on left in the cellar that i will drink soon.
