20 minute decant (sediment was around the cork which was strange - maybe case was stored upside down?) Inky dark red, almost opaque. Impressive concentration and richness, good Cab Sauv character. A bit one dimensional with minimal secondary elements.

Good basic Cab Sauv, varietally correct. Probably at end of drinking window as fruit was more on the stewed side after an hour or two of air.

Rich and full bodied California Chardonnay. Acidity could be more prominent but there is enough acidity to provide balance. Nicely integrated oak. Secondary elements not very prominent.

Unusually dark and rich for gamay. Hard to rate this atypical Beaujolais. Drinks more like a good Bordeaux with some extra acidity. Nice rich fruit with good concentration and nice supporting secondary elements. I'm curious how this will age in the cellar.
