Needs some time to open-up, still enough tannines to support a few years, typical sangiovese character, better the second day developing some sweet oak, marzipan and balance. Quite high in alcohol though.

Nicely aged and softened, hints of red fruits (strawberry and pomme grenate), violets, cedar wood, tobacco and tomato. The wood and tannins completely integrated, some reflects of cassis but missing concentration and acidity in the mid palate, maybe slightly over its top. Time to consume my last bottle.

Well aged, brick colored, ripe sultanas, cherries and oak, with a warm punch of alcohol.
Not too complex, though still some fine and sweet tannins, lacking some acidity to balace the wine and make it great, probably over its top.

As vibrant and fruity as the first tasting at the winery. Violet at the rim, full of ripe grapes, blueberries and a hint of violets. Slightly on the sweet side, had some cellar time left.

As last bottle consumed, further aged, brick color and but better integrated. Fruity power wine, with a few years of cellar life ahead, but at its top today.

Bold ripe cherries, plums, red and purple fruit, underwood. Some remaining tannins that will give it still a few years. Missing some freshment/acidity to lift it higher into the 90's. Great with porc/hamon dishes.

Alcoholic sultanas nose, on the palate still quite sweet, reflections of ripe cherries, pommes granate, caramel, sultanas, marzipan and green spices. High in alcohol, not unpleasant, but needs spicy (thyme) based dishes, or a suitable friend for a cold winter evening.

(Green label bottle) Lost some its fruitiness and freshness. Cassis/blackberry, still some Carignan character. Medittaranian spices, no more mint. Still a well made wine, but lost a little of its initial fruit punch.

Dark red, strong in sugars and alcohol. Nose with cherries, plums and tomato. Palate dominated by creme de cassis, pommes granate with a balsamic undertone, faintly integrated oak and a slight bitterness.
Needs still air to develop, second day best.

Needed a few hours to open up. The wine gained in concentration since last bottle, showing now its familarity with its bigger Montalcino brother, and showing even a sophisticated finish. Little gem.

Cherry blew-off since last time, now more tending towards blackberry and raspberry with some strawberry aftertaste. Lots of winter spice (cloves, smoke, cinnamon and vanilla) in the mid palate. Wine with character, that cries for beef or aged cheese.

Full bodied wine with sour cherries, tar, marzipane, leather and licorice, covered in oak. Far more impressive on the palate than on the nose, only reflecting leather tar and oak. A nicely concentrated wine though.

Big ripe fruits, the black berry fruit from the earlier bottles tend now to more red fruits, overripe black cherries and raspberries, no more herbs nor wood accents. Though on the mose a very pleasant wine, the sweet fruitbomb on the palate is just out of balance. Next nottle in 2 years or so.
