Power, minerality, balance - clichées of course, but this wine ticks all tjoar boxes. Amazing wine that drinks fantastic at the moment.

Artificial, candy-like flavors. Slightly noticable alcohol.

Disappointing. Too oaky and generic.

This is just a great bottle of syrah! Lots of classic markers from the grape but with a touch of southern France. Great!

Very young and quite tight. Will wait until I open next 2014 from Ganevat.

Not bad ar all, but there was also something about this bottles that felt a little off and it didn’t perform nearly as good as expected.

Very nice bottle from Labet as usual. Feels slightly over the hill though, with less energy than I guess would have been the case a few years ago.

Fantastic bottle and a lovely exemple of mature Bourogne. Has really benefitted from extra time in bottle since previous bottle.

Second time I drink this and to me this doesn’t taste like chablis, or even chardonnay. The aromas, body and low acidity makes me think more of some mix of mature riesling, marsanne and rousanne. Not very experienced Raveneau drinker, but this is definately the least impressing bottling I’ve had.

This bottle feels over the hill with very little fruit left and more oxidation than expected.

Youthful and sappy, many years left until this really is really mature. Lacks a bit of Chambolle character, the fruit is too big and dark, but still a great bottle of pinot.

Dissapointing. Lacks a bit of acidity and the finish is a bit too bitter. Doesn’t really taste much like burgundy either.

This has definately improved with a few years in bottle. Very typical NR syrah and also very much in the style you would expect from this producer.

Delicious. Not as expressive as in its youth, but more elegant and detailed. Lovely.

Light, cool and gentle tannins. Very nice, but not as good as you expect from a bottle of Allemand.

Even though I should’t, I still get surprised by how slowly cab franc ages. About 3 years since previous bottle and this wine still tastes young with mostly primärt aromas. The oak spices has mostly disappeared but there is slightly more green aromas now. Still good, but not better than young. Will keep my remaining bottle for at least 5 years.

Lovely pinot from Fred Cossard! Meaty and bigger than expected, with nice spicy notes and a perfect amount of volatility.

Nice, clean fruity sangiovese. Even though the fruit is on the darker side for a Chianti, the wine has a nice balance and a certain coolness to it. Best 2017 chianti so far (from a very limited number of sampels).

Exotic and ripe, but with enough acidity too balance the fruit and alcohol. Not as impressive as previous bottles from Labet in 2015, but still delicious.

The least impressive D&R yet. Thin, rustic and a bit green. Some syrah character, but not the text book northern Rhone experience you usually get from them. Tough year probably.

Heaps of blood oranges with some hints of reduction and volatility. Big for beeing a poulsard, but still fresh and light.

Yellow, creamy fruit. Some Jura spice and hint of reduction. Wanted to like this more than I did, but didn’t really get exited about it. Maybe it lacks a bit of acidity. Correct and nothing wrong about it.

Nice macerated albarola. Light and quite airy for beeing orange, and with a nice salty finish.

Extremly acidic and lean. Liked 2016 so much, this was quite disappointing. 9% ABV.

Nice, but un-inspiring. Given that most people seems to rave about this and that I usually like Von der Fels quite a lot, I’ll write it off as bump in the road.

More potential than pleasure at this point. Higher acidity and more tannins than previous vintages, but the lightness, concentration and saltyness is present as always. Nice to have a few bottles of this, will be interesting to see how it develops.

Had pretty high hopes for how this would age when tasted a few years back. The wine didn’t deliver according to my expectations this time as it has become more one-dimensional and with less complexity now, than four years ago. Still good and with a nice sea/salt/seaweed-charachter, but not as good as I had hoped.

Another winner from Valette! Rich, creamy and concentrated, but with fresh acidity and the faintest hint of oxidation, that gives the wine energy and lift.

If I was served this wine blind, I probably would’ve guessed riesling from Alsace or Pfalz with residual sugar. Weird to me, and given what other tasters have experienced, my bottle may have been a little funky/off.
