We preferred the 2010 to this vintage.

Medium bodied, disappointing finish; lacks subtly and elegance I enjoy with a nice Pinot because the oak is overdone.

Great wine for the price point. Some oak and pepper to create complexity. Medium bodied. Nice finish for the wine presented. I paid $12 and some sense and enjoyed the juice. It's a good bargain choice without sacrificing quality and enjoyment. Enjoy.

Pop & poured. A primarily merlot/ red bourdeaux blend. Deep purple to garnet; oak, exotic spice, mecican vanilla & alcohol on the nose, but not unpleasant; plum, toasted oak, vanilla, spices on the palate. Good balance of acidity and soft tannins. Medium to full body with a nice finish. This is a good wine to enjoy for the price point and is ready to drink now. I'd purchase more.

Blackberry, licorice & spice; well rounded, med to long finish. Quite a surprise for this price point!

This cab needs time to open up, perhaps and hour or two. I'd love to try it again in about 5 years to see if it rounds out a bit. Lots of muscle here.

Wow. You will not go wrong with this one for the price point. It never fails to get many compliments at our parties.

Pop and poured with aerator. The color is dark garnet. The nose hints of anise, cherry, spices and earth. This is a medium to full bodied, dry bourdeaux blend, but seems heavy handed as the fruit is overpowered by oak and heat. The finish is short and the tannins seem harsh. It definitely lacks balance and elegance. This may improve with time or be best served if paired with spicy food and beef. Although it did grow on me as I drank it this evening, I would not purchase another bottle because I am not a fan of the heavy oak. I've revised my score as this really softened by day 2 and is much more enjoyable.

Not recommended. No depth of flavors nor complexity. This tasted "bubbly", almost carbonated.

This was one of the favorite red blends served at a recent tasting party. For the price point, this is a wonderful surprise.

Not recommended. This was one of several wines tasted at a party and it was the least favorite. Most dumped out their glass and described the flavor as "ash".

Decanted for sediment. Deep garnet red color, cassis, dark chocolate, roasted fruit, chewy, nice finish. Drink now.

Opened and poured using aerator. Bright ruby red color, cocoa, berry and cherry cordial nose. Medium to full body, complex and somewhat fruity with a touch of oak and heat. Overall nice balance. Medium finish. Enjoyable.

Pop and poured with aerator. fruity nose. full body, complex well balanced, hints of vanilla, plum, spices and chocolate. Smooth, long finish. Great young wine for parties and sipping. Amazing for the price ($8.99). I would stock more bottles for afternoon and social gatherings.

Pop and poured. Light to Medium bodied. Bright, Intense ruby color. Pleasing nose with red raspberry, strawberry, dried grass, a touch of vanilla and herbs. Though this was an up front and easy drinking, I didn't think the taste matched the brightness of the color or nose. It was rather lean and unremarkable upon tasting and I would probably not purchase another bottle. It may be improved with aeration or need more time to develop.
