Interesting nose. Some smoke. Taste overwhelmed by cough syrup.
Red
Holy moly. Pop and pour still showed tremendous dark fruit and balance. My favorite Turley from 2012.
Red
Pepper. Lingering smoke. Muted fruits. Suggest pairing with grilled meats!
Red
Short decant. Raspberry. Leather. Balanced (both high alc and high acid). Blueberry on the tongue but not present in initial nose. Let it breathe.
Red
Smooth. Dark fruits. Blackberry. Good earth.
Red
Drank next to a 2011. 2012 had sweeter or more ripe fruit, cola, still some earth like the 2011.

Very good. Darker than I expected (purple). Alc 16% but so balanced it went unnoticed.

Fairly translucent rusty red. Surprisingly good. Some spice, earth, and tobacco with currant. Love the nose.
Red
Good fruit without being a alcoholic fruit bomb. Balanced acid. Great with food.

Good wine. High alc content. Adds some richness to the wine. Should be had with food.

Synthetic rubbery style cork. Wine maintained good ruby color. Muted nose of raspberry. Light red fruits (raspberry and pomegranate) and a little sour on the palate. Very little tannin. Short finish. Even feels a little light on the acid. Not sure of this wine's role... doesn't seem to be a palate cleanser with food or something that offers a lot on its own.

Thick, awesome, full black fruits. Still had some grip. Drank beautifully but could have waited even a couple more years.

Lots of heat, but a drinkable fruit bomb. Enjoyed other Location blends more, although this still fit the style. Hoping it mellows out over the next day or so.

Some sour cherry initially, but after decanting, more dark fruit appeared alongside the red.

1982 Château Grave-La-Cour St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Way past it's prime. Color: rust. Very oxidized. Still some fruit and floral notes on nose. Taste shows some violets but little to no fruit at this point--more akin to a sherry with the oxidation. Would rate at 70 right now but not worth putting a number to it. Fill line was low due to age and some cork leakage but foil remained intact. Family member cellar. 60% Merlot and 40% Cab.

Really nice. Ruby color, cherry aromas, hint of spice. Ripe cherry, hint of sour cherry, tobacco and leather. Tobacco lingers.

Still tastes good. Dull garnet color--pretty much brick red. Aromas dwindling a bit, but still plenty of blueberry, blackberry, and candied cherry on the nose. It's not huge, but you can tell it was a big wine at one point. Drinking fine. (The cooler may have extended its life.) medium acid. Tannins present, but not spicy--some leathery notes. Medium body.

A surprising amount of sediment. Not too much, but worth a quick decant.
