Drack 3/4 av flaskan för 2 veckor sedan, stått i kylskåp efter det och tog resten nu. Hade varit roligt att dricka den helt blint i svart glas för hade varit svårt att sätta det säkert som ett vitt vin när det var nyöppnat. Doften påminde då om ett rött från norra Rhone men ändå något som inte riktigt stämde med det. Hade nog ändå gissat på men att det var någon skum naturvinsinfluerad vinmakare. Finns lite kvar av det nu också men ändrats till något lite mer nötigt och ett litet litet uns av flor. Minns inte riktigt vilka smaker jag hittade första gången mer än knappt någon direkt fruktighet utom diverse citrus men däremot att beskan var lite väl hög för att det skulle vara riktigt behagligt att dricka, och smakmässigt var det ingen tvekan om att det var vitt. Nu när det stått till sig har beskan lugnat ner sig ordentligt, är fortfarande kvar men på en perfekt nivå. Bra syra. Vinet jag hade kvar tog tyvärr slut för fort för mer detaljerad smakanalys, kanske ett tecken på att det nu var riktigt gott och försvann snabbt! I tvåveckorsversionen ett vin som skulle passa perfekt att läska sig med ute i solen, läskande men inte för mjäkig utan med ordentlig karaktär. Ca 90 p.

Har aldrig riktigt gillat någon assyrtiko, brukar tycka de är alldeles för salta och sältan finns även i den här men inte alls på ett störande sätt. Däremot sticker beskheten ut som i få andra viner, direkt i början för mycket men i eftersmaken på en behaglig nivå och ger ungefär samma känsla som tanninerna i ett rödvin. På tal om rödvin, i doften finns kemisk melon, tuttifrutti, citrus och en svag rökig känsla och hade jag fått det helt blint hade jag inte kunnat säga om det var rött eller vitt. Hade nog funderat kring chinon eller pinot. I smaken den där beskan, lite sälta, lite lite för låg syra, grape och en liten nötighet. Frugan som dricker vin mer som gemene man än oss här kommenterade det som ”Inte så surt som vita viner brukar vara, smakar äpple, grapefruit och är ganska beskt.”, dvs ungefär samma som mig men med lite färre ord.

Helt OK men inget jag köper igen.

Druckit den över drygt en månad. Upplevde den som bäst vecka 1 och 2 efter öppningen, tappade sen lite av frukten utan att kännas mognare, bara plattare. Mycket kraftig smak med blåbär, choklad och passande nog julsmaker som glöggkryddor och torkad frukt typ fikon/dadlar. Får en starkare rödvinskänsla av det än jag brukar av port. Bra syra och massiva tanniner och bra balans mot sötman. Alkoholen stack ut när det öppnades men störde inte efter det.

Tvekar lite här mellan 93-94 eller 95 men om jag tänker tillbaka till när det var som bäst och bakar in potentialen så blir det nog 95.

Dracks två dagar efter varandra och bägge gångerna utan mat. Inte så mycket som stack ut i smaken, var lång och god och omissbart en pinot och bra syra och lite beska tanniner men inte så mycket tydliga smaker. Doften däremot var riktigt riktigt bra, tydlig pinot och rök, chark och peppar. Hade lite avlopp första minuterna som sen luftades bort. Köpte två och sparar nog den andra +5 år. Hamnar strax under 90 p nu men räknar med att den stiger över det om några år.

Coravined a couple of glasses from this bottle with StefanAkiko on sept 17 and we both marked it as flawed then. When I now open it it's a completely different beast. Lovely mature bdx with leather, stable etc.
