Pale ruby color with slow legs. Cedar, spice and dark cherry on the nose. Raspberry, orange peel and cinnamon on the palate. Long satin like finish with a bit of heat.
  • Twopawsup commented:

8/3/23, 9:49 AM - The bottle indicated 11-14% ABV so I suspect on the higher side based on the heat.

Pale lemon color with slow legs. Oak, tropical fruit and a little butter on the nose. Pear, white pepper and other delicious fruits on the palate. Long creamy finish. Another outstanding Aubert and my favorite to date.
  • Twopawsup commented:

9/26/21, 5:24 AM - It still has plenty of life ahead but was drinking just fine last night with a little decant. Have some more Aubert in the cellar I will let rest for a little while but tough to be patient with them!

Pale purple color with slow legs. Oak and blackberry on the nose. Jammy palate with plum and black pepper. Good acidity and long leathery finish.
  • Twopawsup commented:

1/5/21, 4:54 PM - Yes it was the first time Heminway was in my allocation so figured we would try it and it didn’t disappoint. Still should have a few good years left in it.

  • Twopawsup commented:

1/23/21, 3:14 PM - Glad to hear you enjoyed.. Turley has so many great vineyards it ‘s hard not to buy the whole allocation.

Deep ruby color with slow legs. Very nice nose of cassis, oak and dark fruit. Black currant, plum and espresso on the palate. Long leathery finish.
  • Twopawsup commented:

12/12/20, 6:46 PM - Yes decanted for an hour and kept getting better every minute after....

  • Twopawsup commented:

12/13/20, 10:06 AM - Totally agree I had the Rector Creek last year and it was awesome. We were fortunate to have The Three Palms Merlot 2014 back in 2018 and it was every bit the 95 rating by WS.

Wow my first Aubert didn’t disappoint. Great nose of citrus and lemongrass with just a hint of butter. Tingly on the tip of the tongue with a bit of peach. Nice long creamy finish. Favorite chardonnay to date can’t wait to open the other Aubert’s in my cellar.

Pale purple color with slow legs. A bit green on the nose with aromas of tea, bell pepper and red cassis. Sour cherry and jam on the palate. Long leathery finish. Should get better with another year or two in the bottle.
  • Twopawsup commented:

12/14/19, 7:36 PM - The bell pepper was pretty strong Mark. I think it may integrate better with another year or two of age.

Deep purple color with slow legs. A bit of barnyard on the nose but well balanced with a mix of berry aromas. Black cherry, pepper, plum and mix of jammy flavors on the palate. Long satin like finish with well balanced acidity. Should get even better with a couple more years in the bottle.
  • Twopawsup commented:

8/28/19, 5:18 AM - I liked the 15 though this Turley has a bit more pepper than I normally like. Definitely more earthy than their typical Zins but was well balanced. Rattlesnake and Hayne are still my favorites from Turley.

Much more integrated from just a year ago. Heavy vegetal nose has yielded to oak, jammy notes and red currant. Palate is more balanced with dark cherry, jam and tea . Satin like long finish.
  • Twopawsup commented:

9/4/18, 4:57 PM - Still drinking nice on day 2 so another good sign! :-)

  • Twopawsup commented:

9/5/18, 7:04 PM - Lol was not our first bottle of the evening we keep a running supply.

Medium purple color with slow legs. Aromas of cedar, toast and jammy notes. Pepper, blackberry, blueberry and plum on the palate. Full bodied with long leathery finish. Still one of my favorite Turley’s.
  • Twopawsup commented:

7/2/18, 6:20 PM - Agree Mark from the first time I ordered in a restaurant years ago this Turley never disappoints. Will be ordering more in my next allocation for sure!

Ruby colored wit slow legs. Aromas of red currant, blueberry, cherry and bell pepper. It tastes like blackberry, strawberry and plum. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture, finishes long and has medium acidity.
  • Twopawsup commented:

1/3/17, 6:05 AM - Agreed it is a wide drinking window for a Zin and seems typical for Turley. I haven't tested this window yet as I'm relatively new to the Turley club but will let you know in a few years lol. But based on what I have been sampling in all the 2014 Turley Zins I think many if them have the structure to easily last 3-5 more years.
