Silky, balanced - all in harmony, beautifully integrated lush fruit, toasted nuts element. From Pritchard Hill.

F*¢k this is brilliant. Incredible spice, incense, sour cherry, clay. Vivid and incisive, perfumed, showing more Sangiovese than anything. In the zone now. I hate that I have a cellar full of wines and not a single bottle of this remaining.

Has about all you could want in this wine. Complex, viscous, with minerals, toasted nuts, wild honey, and great acid to balance.
  • Bruce 1er commented:

8/8/20, 6:38 PM - Yes. it's delicious now but will last many years and undoubtedly
    grow more complex.

Third bottle tasted. Terrific fruit (Queen Ann cherries, pears, etc.), with good acidity, fine bubbles, and very smooth finish. Exceptional.

12/30/17, 1:29 PM - I purchased a case of this in Dec. '12 from Flickinger Wines (Chicago) for about $55/bttl. This was my last one.

Tasted on two different occasions. Strikes me as having the profile of a cult wine. Nice fruit, very soft, smooth in the finish, easy on the palette, and therefore very accessible now. However, I did not find it complex and I question whether it will develop complexity with age.
  • Bruce 1er commented:

3/9/17, 9:59 AM - Thanks. It was the only "Oakville" listed under the drop down menu that I could see, but I wasn't sure. The one I tasted was TK fruit.

3/15/17, 7:31 PM - I agree with sleepyhaus. The wine I tasted sells for about $40. I originally commented on its high price because I was given a tasting sheet that listed the price at "$168 / bottle." When I recently questioned the distributor representing this wine, he said "that is the restaurant price" but admitted it was inexplicably high and that it retails "for about $45."

Still too young to really appreciate. It is showing bright red fruit, especially cherries, along with leather and earth. It is accessible now, however, there are considerable dusty tannins in the finish that at this stage detract from the fruit.

Highly acidic, thin, herbal, generally unpleasant. Where's the fruit? Bottle probably off due to poor storage before acquiring. Finishes with very little tannin.

11/13/14, 4:26 PM - Glad to hear it wasn't just me. Bought it a couple of years ago from a local dealer here in Chicago, Flickinger Wines, which usually has good wines. I noticed when I opened the bottle that the cork was dry, and broke. Have about 5 more bottles and will post my next tasting. Thanks.

An impressive work. Complex bouquet and good fruit with flavors of briar, sage, smoke, earth, leather. But more restrained now with age. While it would still be good for at least another 5 years, it appears to be past its peak and should be consumed sooner rather than later.
  • Bruce 1er commented:
