A freshly-cut apricot initially on the nose and some light floral with sweet apple. Beautiful sweet aromas.
A little sweetness gives way to dry crisp apple. A little chalk. Aperitif in style, but the hint of sweetness makes it good with food too. Lovely.

We don't have much aged white Bordeaux, so this was a real treat.
Straw-like yellow, with some hints of polished brass.
Nose of apples and cut wood with some caramel biscuit. The apple juice behind remains fresh and full; some fresh pears too, plus a little lemon.
Cooked apples in the mouth, with some acid from some lemon-coated crisp apples and pears. A viscous texture at odds with the freshness of the flavours. Really lovely flavours, with a lingering lemon-infused finish that retains that crispness.

Dark burgundy appearance with a little purple at the core.
Nose of sticky blackcurrants with some vine leaf, and a little smoke (like heavily smoked meat) - actually a meaty overall aroma. A little pepper and clove on the back of the nose.

A very pleasant rich burgundy; some purple.
Nose has intense red berries and currants - pretty concentrated, but paradoxically a little ephemeral.
Enigmatic in the mouth: rich tannic/dry red fruits. Initially a hint of earth but this gives way to the more intense fruits. Intense fruit continues into the finish and is still there the next day

A pleasing vibrant ruby-burgundy colour.
Plump red fruits to the fore on the nose, with some hints of wet leaves (but not wet earth); perhaps a little violet. Some peppery spice right at the back of the nose.
A real mix of fruits (and some floral) that feels like it still needs to settle. Red fruits - currants and berries, perhaps some dried fruit and some violety, maybe even inky, floral flavours. Also some curious bread-like flavours. Finish is spicy and with some sourness underpinning intense fruits. It's too young yet but this bodes well.

A rich mid-purple colour; medium-full bodied.
Nose of very slightly mossy black berry fruits - that note might have made me think of an older wine if I was tasting blind. The bramble fruits are rich and slightly spicy - some clove gives it a Christmassy edge.
Clove (and cinnamon) also gently infuse the blackberries and some redder fruits in the mouth. Initially I found the flavours a little disappointing but then the wine seemed to blossom - mouth-filling and just the right side of ripe.

This was delightful. I bought two bottles and will leave the other one for up to a year just to allow it time to be still and settled.
A rich red colour - maybe a touch of chocolate, but no significant signs of age.
Some spices on the nose initially - black pepper and allspice, then more fruit: cranberry juice, blackberries, orange peel. Later, some intense pencil lead pokes through, with a hint of cherry licquer. There's an extraordinary power to the nose, but it's nevertheless exquisitely balanced.
A dry mouthful at first and then some elegant sweet bramble fruits. It's poised but fairly simple now. Slightly reminiscent of blackberry and apple.

Lovely ruby colour - bright vivid and absolutely no sign of age.
Nose of sweet blackberries and red fruits and then pronounced pencil shavings. A rich and lovely, bright nose with just a trace of dustiness.
A lovely mouthful with a mix of sweet blackberries and strawberries with savoury, perhaps even smoky, flavours. A sweet, lingering finish with just a hint of earth.

A lovely purple with some ruby; medium-bodied.
A bramble fruit nose with a hint of smoky/ancho spice; a little blackberry juice and some brooding, dusty power. Later ripe blackberries come through more strongly.
Fruity but not giving much in the mouth. Powerfully brooding. Deep, silky tannins, red fruits and little blackberry, with a note of pencil lead. Needs some good time.

Nose of black wine gums, with black cherry - big and pleasant, if slightly confected; a hint of dark chocolate.

Rich, deep brassy gold - almost honey in colour.
A prominent sherry note on the nose. Then almondy-apples, leavened by a little lemon zest with confected fruits and a hint of creme caramel; all the while, there's a mineral-like backbone; also some curious mango notes.
A surprise initially to be less sherry-like than the nose - starting with a lovely apple and tropical fruit juice blend. Some orange in there too. Fino sherry comes through later siting alongside a fruitier, unctuous taste. Really very good.
