: Another solid effort. Strong on the fruit, with papaya and pineapple, with a nose tending toward pear and pineapple and a hint of smoke. Firm acids ang strong oak give this a long an minerally finish. A true winner from a brand to be trusted.

Consistently the best Viognier around, and a bargain. Very much stone fruit on the nose and tongue, with peach, apricot and litchi some citrus as a backbone. Remarkably full bodied and long finished.

A big, bold wine. A nose that is all grape, peach and a hint of citrus. On the tongue it explodes with citrus, pear, pineapple and a hint of floral fruit. There is an underlying minerality that arises from the fresh acidity.

This was a complete surprise. This is a much more complicated wine than I anticipated, with a complexity closer to that of a chardonnay than a pinot gris. Tropical on both nose and palate, and with a long, long finish. Essentially drinkable where chardonnay would fit.

A true California Chard. Creamy on both nose and palate but with enough acid to keep it very clean, pineapple and kiwi and green apple dominate the fruit, vanilla the cream. Long finish with enough acidity and vanilla to make it a pleasant linger.

Light in color, with a deep citrus nose. All citrus and tropical fruit on the palate and with a bracing acidity that keeps it on the edge of spritz. Even some melon and nectarine on the finish. For lighter food this is well worth the price.

This is what we expect. The aroma of pear, peach, green apple and melon carry over into a full, rich palate. Almost creamy, and with a hint of spice, this is what Chardonnay should be.

A terriffic SB. This is a big, bold SB. This one needs time, since its nose, even after breathing is minerals, with some tropical fruit. The fruit (nectarine, grapefruit, pineapple) on the tongue is vibrant, rich and full. A long, full finish.

A fine SB. White peach, fig, melon on the minerally nose, with citrus and some herbs on the palate. Round finish with just enough acid carries it off. A winner.

This is a wonderful chard. The crispness isn’t overpowering. The nose and tongue are pear, peach and passionfruit with a hint of butter. Medium bodied it goes well with a variety of food and the lingering finish is just complex enough to keep things interesting

Another fine effort from E&T and a remarkable value. This one could stand some patience and it will improve for at least another year or more. Grapefruit, nectarine and a hint of pineapple on the nose give way melon, peach and apple on the palate. A fine balance of oak and acidity give it a lingering finish.

This is a winner. Grapefruit and citrus on the nose and pink grapefruit, lime and spice on the tongue with just enough acid to carry the finish. This is a benchmark SB from Marlborough

Deep gold with spice, honey and pineapple on the nose. The pineapple melds with peach on the palate. The oak is perfectly balanced for a long, and quite satisfying finish. At least a couple of good years left in this one.

Wonderful, if too young. Deep violet and I mean violet, it is a BIG, BIG shiraz. All berries on the nose, with spice, on the palate it explodes and fills the mouth with berries and spice. It will mellow with age, but it’s so joyously large now, there may not be many bottles left when it hits its prime. This is what Shiraz ought to be about.

Surprising good, despite its age. Nutty pear and citrus on the nose give way to a buttery yet citrus anchored palate with melon joining a hint of spice. A long finish wraps up a winner

Wonderful, if too young. Apple and tropical fruit on the nose yield to strong peach and apple on the palate with good acid. Dry without the fully Chablis edge, and a long, long finish. Hold this one for a while. Does need breathing time

All that was promised. Pale straw in color, the nose is crisp with apple and peach, and pineapple. Rich on the tongue, with peach and pineapple, it is so clean and even a bit spicy. Really a joyous wine with vegetarian cuisine.

A pleasant enough wine, but clearly the Sauvignon Blanc dominates. Dry, citrusy nose with lemon holds on the palate with a hint of melon and minerals. Moderate finish but none of the fruit the chenin blanc might have added.
