Red
Surprisingly tasty stuff after all these years. Big and black cherry-like.

Red
black cherry steeped in liquor.
Red
they knew how to make them back then.
White
minerality, acidity, fruit, love.
Red
The missing link between wine and port.
Red
cherry, dusty plum, light tobacco. Nice.
Red
Deep, rich inky things. Much better on day two

Red
Watery beginning, a nice spicy middle and a big, jammy finish that lasts.
Red
There's a lot going on here. I think that last bit might be the kitchen sink. Certainly curious and lots of it.
Red
the key word in everyone's review seems to be "surprising." That's what I was going to write. It must be true.
Red
a little too sweet cherry, a tad hot, otherwise well made, from what I understand.
Red
with a nod to a well-made wine, a bit too sweet cherry front and hot back for my own personal taste.
Red
I thought it might be tired by now, but no. Everything is just right.
Red
plum things and berry things and a lovely pucker.
Red
Nice enough with dinner but even better when I woke up at 2 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. So I had two more glasses between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Then I went to bed. Woke up at 10 very satisfied. So it's like that.

If it's Monday night and you have no food in the house and you whip up some eggs and you decide you want a glass of wine with them, this will do.
White
Past its prime? No, evolved into another idea, interesting and memorable.
Red
2009 Château Poujeaux Moulis en Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
nice fruity-spicey things; dark, soft and structured.*
*(night 2: crazy tasty.)
Red
1983 Podere il Palazzino Chianti Classico Riserva Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese (view label images)
tuckered out but still breathing.
Red
decadent and luscious and pretty.
Red
This stuff was like WHITE. All the color was gone. Some guy was throwing it out, but I opened it and it tasted like Scotch + Mead with a dash of cider. Honey and floral. What a trip! A-ha.
Red
A lot of people seem disappointed with this wine. Why? It's fine, it's what it's supposed to be. If you want a fruit bomb drink a different wine.
Red
fruity and thin on night one, better and with secondary notes night 2.
Red
Rustic and right and good, I like it.
White - Sweet/Dessert
It seems that this is a chardonnay is a big deal to wino's - which I am not. Not at all over the top sweet as one might fear. Dill and apple with good balance of tannins. Liked.
Red
Could also be called "Sledgehammer." Boozy and inoffensive, sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Red
2000 Château Camensac Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
oh so pretty!
Red
This wine was a revelation, a game changer in my deeply flawed and pathetic wine journey. I've had access to some amazing wines, but after the experience of them I didn't need to try them again. They were amazing-but-self-contained stories. This wine was a mystery, a bottle of intelligent, structured well-placed clues that hit all the right notes while lingering in corners in hushed tones. This is the only bottle of wine where, when done, I thought - I need to do that again.
Red
Big, brawny, and a little bit boozy. Not a subtle bone in the bottle. Not unpleasant, if this is your thing.
Red
$10. Not a big wino, not a fancy reviewer, just want a good glass of wine with dinner. This is that. I'd get it again and again. Pleasant, fruit front, soft leather back, easy tannin. What more do you need, really?
Red
2009 Fattoria Viticcio Chianti Classico Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese (view label images)
decent trifecta of fruit, acidity, and tannins. Watery non-finish on the first day, better on day two. For some odd reason seemed to want to go with celery.
Red
Smooth mouthfeel, big pucker. On day three when I'd already decided it was unnecessary to try again (especially at that price-point for what it is) the second to last sip was pure velvet and licorice. The last sip cured any last second wantonness.
Red
I liked it and then I didn't like it and then I liked it and then I didn't like it and then on the third day it was fantastic and floral and delicate and there was only a glass left.
Red
Thick ruby ink. Leather behind fruit, bring a knife and fork.
Red
elegant and resolved. Night two: a little bit of fish sticks. Beats me.
Red
This is a really good wine and I didn't get it. I'm so ashamed.
