Amazingly smooth; rich flavor without any harshness at all. Only one barrel produced.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese from the 08 and 09 vintages that, 8 years later, is positively singing. Unique, smooth, complex, lingering finish.

Smooth, fruity, and--after a short decant--an amazing classic California Pinot.

For $4, a great deal; somewhat like $8 to $10 wine like Cocobon--rich, a tad sweet. Would hold up to bbq.

Well, it's a $4 GSM, and it tastes like a $4 GSM: not complex at all, and unmemorable; tart, little finish.

Quality Pinot: different from a typical Pinot. Dominating notes of cherry and red licorice.

Not tart, not grassy, but lemony. Unusual for a sauv blanc. Created with 50% very ripe grapes and 50% just ripe berries from two different Santa Ynez vineyards.

I'm not a fan of Pinot Gris, typically, since it seems one dimensional and watery. But this was amazing: robust, complex, with great depth and finish.

I bought one, and bought another 10. Out of the bottle, this cab/syrah blend is a little sweetish, but once it opens, it develops into a rich, layered wine. Incredible value for $8.

For the price--about $8-- a smooth, if nondescript wine.

Intense, dark, and rich; one of those bottles that I've stored on its side with a purple-end cork--better than what I recall from previous tastings.

Distinctive wines can be amazing or off-putting. This one isn't amazing, but when it hits your tongue, you do notice it, and it's not bad: the cherry cola notes are certainly there.

I've liked their Cab and their Rose and was disappointed: all pepper and alcohol. No one liked it, either right away or after a 30 minute decanting.

Drank this after drinking a half bottle of Robert Hall Syrah, and the reaction was: wow, this is so much better! People oohed and ached over it all night--complex, easy to drink, and simply amazing.

A great blend (co-fermented) of Rhone varietals--60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. Lasting finish, great finesse, always a hit.

Definitely decant before serving; served it with beef ribs cooked in wine, and it accompanied it well, but our guests didn't sing its praises--it just isn't complex enough for me.

A really good Cab Franc, with a lasting finish. From start to finish, notes of green pepper, with a hint of jalepeno, along with the classic hints of cherry cola. Smooth, with no alcohol burn on the way down.

I just opened this bottle today--must've gotten lost in my cellar. It was magnificent. Aged wonderfully over 5 years. Intense, smokey pepper with a lingering finish, and yes, a bit of a burning on the way down.

A really nondescript cab. Yes, it's smooth, but it doesn't seem all that different from two buck Chuck--really not much there.

Great wine; the first sort of unusual note I got was blueberry, in addition to the typical petite syrah flavors.

Notes of black pepper, licorice, and blueberry with a decent finish; doesn't have the finesse and unique characteristics of the more pricey Morehouse version, but still a top notch Syrah.

You can really taste the peppery heat, which seems to overpower any of the other subtle flavors. After a couple hours it settled down, but it certainly isn't an elegant Shiraz.
